Brain dump from the studio x the current Asian arts exhibition .adelaide 😮‍💨🥵🔥

Seeing the inspiration behind my latest project in a physical show rewired my brain & ignited something in my soul. Iran is under relentless attacks by (yet again) Western powers aiming to destroy the history & beauty of the people. Art carries our stories for centuries beyond the violence & destruction that have plagued our lives. A celebration and proof of our resilience and stubborn commitment to justice and freedom.

We are artists, poets, writers, musicians, creatives and so much more beyond the narratives painted about us by our enemies.

“The Final Goodbye” for the public art exhibition “Complicit” in front of the 2024

The painting was based off of a real photo that came out of Gaza in early 2024 (cannot find the original) capturing the last moments of a father saying goodbye to his murdered son. A haunting image that stayed with me and had to confront our sitting politicians with. As we witnessed unprecedented levels of mass censorship, painting those crimes is a humanitarian duty as a political artist.

Our hearts & souls bleed for the innocent people of the world but especially Lebanon who has faced endless suffering and bombardment from the Zionist regime for decades. May they never rest as they get haunted by every innocent soul they’ve murdered. Glory to the resistance & we mourn the brave martyrs of this sacred land.
