It's your last chance to experience the 2026 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: 𝗬𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 before it closes this Monday 8 June.

Yield Strength reveals how materials, selfhood and society are tested – and transformed – under pressure. Twenty-four artists push their mediums to build visual complexity or contort them to convey the curious side of existence.

On the opening weekend of the festival, we were treated to the "formidable" reimagining of Chekhov’s final play, The Cherry Orchard.

"The production illuminates the lasting ache found in the heart of Chekhov’s work, and while his Cherry Orchard is built of glass and steel rather than trees, its roots run deep." – HiFiWay

For a few weeks each February and March, something extraordinary happens in Adelaide.

Tens of thousands of people come together – curious, open, full of anticipation. Streets, theatres and public spaces come alive with ideas, images and sounds from around the world. For a moment, the whole city seems to breathe art.

For more than 60 years, Adelaide Festival has brought the world’s most ambitious artists to South Australia, elevated Australian and South Australian voices, and delivered experiences that stay with audiences long after the final curtain call. The Festival is more than a program of performances – it shapes our identity and our sense of what is possible.

Adelaide Festival has always been built by people who believe in the power of art to transform lives and places.

As we look to the future, we invite you to stand with us and embolden the next chapter of this extraordinary Festival.
