Worldwide Knit in Public Day is this Saturday, and while we won’t be hosting any events ourselves, Adelaideans have a few options for joining the fun!

Knitterati will be gathering as usual in our own . No need to register, just turn up from noon and join the crew at the Ciao cafe tables.

are hosting a yarn bombing event from 10am. The purpose will be to yarn bomb Hurtle Square/Tangkaira, but the event has been moved to Box Factory Community Centre due to the weather forecast. Regos via humanitix.

And don’t forget to knit or crochet while traveling to an event! Adelaide Metro are encouraging knitting on all public transport, and there’s a dedicated event on the Botanic tram line between the Entertainment Centre and Botanic tram stop from 10am to 1pm.

This one has been difficult to write, but here goes:

Our cosy, colourful little shop in Adelaide Arcade is closing...for now. Our last day of in-person trade at Shop 7 will be this coming Thursday, 4 June.

We are hoping to be able to re-open elsewhere in the Arcade in a couple months, so cross all your fingers and toes that all goes to plan and we’ll be back soon! Our website will still be available for online sales throughout this period, so please do visit us online for your wool and stationery needs. And you’ll see us around, particularly at June’s Stitch ‘n Screen event .adl!

Minahoshi is ready to play Cartograph on Saturday. Have you grabbed tickets yet? There are plenty of spots still available.

Cartograph is a world-exploring, map-drawing, and journaling RPG. We’ll provide everything you need, but feel free to bring a beloved journal or stationery bits and pieces that inspire you.

MINI MARKET ✨We are thrilled to announce that we'll have a market stall at .adl's June Stitch 'n Screen night! We will pop-up in the theatre lobby from 5:30pm, so you can grab a craft kit or stock up on stickers and washi tape prior to the 6:30pm showing of the absolute classic film, 10 Things I Hate About You.

Bring any portable craft you enjoy (or pick one up at the mini market). The lights will be left on for the film so you can see your work.

Fun fact: The storyline is a modern (for 1999) retelling of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. And it's set in my hometown of Seattle!

We had so much fun with Zeke's introduction to TTRPGs workshop at the beginning of the month - now we're leveling up and rolling out a gaming event!

Join us May 30 to play Cartograph, a game of map-making and discovery! Create your own character, write journal entries from their perspective, and work as a group to draw a collaborative world map. All supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring along a notebook or any stationery you'd like to use or share.
