Child Safe Environments
DanceSport SA is very supportive of State and National regulatory bodies seeking to ensure DanceSport members are screened for Child Safe Environments. Across Australia regulatory bodies and increasingly looking to ensure Child Safe Environments are maintained and supported by local sporting and nonsporting bodies. DanceSport SA is now in a position to provide support for DSA members in SA seeking a DCSI check, to ensure they are screened according to impending 2019 legislation. DSA members who officiate, coach, adjudicate or volunteer on a regular basis, are encouraged to be screened. This can be done by submitting your details, including contact details and email address to DSA SA, who will then initiate the screening process locally, on their behalf.
Send your request and details to the DSA SA Executive Officer [Oryst Tkacz] to [email protected]
This must be done well in advance of any expiring screens, as the process takes 3 weeks to complete

Well we have finally settled back into reality after a huge weekend! The SA Open has been and gone for another year. Thanks you so much to everyone who contributed into making the day what it was! The audience was amazing and supportive, the dancers gave it all with some stunning performances, our panel was a group of pure professionals, once again the team in the background- MC's, music men, scrutineers, Marshalls & volunteers were an absolute godsend! We could not have gotten there without you!
In 2019 we will be back at Adelaide Oval and will have a date ready to announce very soon! Thank you all again for your support and we will see you next year!

Tomorrow is the big day!! Many of our interstate competitors and adjudicators have already started arriving and the Training Hub has been a buzz today’s with lots of lessons happening 🙂 doors open at 9am with first event on the floor at 10am! See you there....

FOOD, food, glorious food... So a long day at a dance competition requires sustenance! And there are lots of options! At Adelaide Oval in the William Magarey Room there will be the awesome coffee cart (and absolute Godsend last year!) and this year the cafe will also be service things like sandwiches, pies & pasties. For the dinner break (or anytime you have a bit of a gap!) You can head to any of the nearby restaurants & pubs including:

- Queen's Head Hotel
- Cathedral Hotel
- Parlamento
