What an incredible night at Adelaide Oval on 1/8/2026! 🏉✨

A massive thank you to the Port Adelaide Football Club for inviting me to be part of the Cultural Heritage AFL Round. It was an absolute honor to bring traditional Chinese calligraphy to such an electric footy atmosphere!

The turnout was beyond my expectations, and my brush literally didn't stop for over three hours! I was kept super busy writing personalized Chinese names on cards for the kids and footy fans.

Even though it was a non-stop writing marathon, seeing the big smiles on everyone's faces and hearing all the heartfelt "thank you" made it incredibly rewarding. I’m also so grateful for all the new fans and followers who joined my page tonight! 🥰

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed such love for Chinese culture. Can't wait to share more calligraphy art with you all in the future! ✍️

I recently completed a fascinating custom commission: a classic Tang Dynasty poem ("曾经沧海难为水..."), but with a unique stylistic twist requested by the client.

The first two lines are written in the highly structured and elegant Regular Script (楷书), while the final two lines break into the expressive, free-flowing Cursive Script (草书).

I absolutely loved working on this piece. The sharp visual contrast between the two styles perfectly captures the dynamic beauty and endless flexibility of Chinese characters.

“落霞與孤鶩齊飛，秋水共長天一色。“
— Wang Bo (650-676), Tang Dynasty

“Rosy clouds drift with a lone bird in flight;
Autumn waters blend into the boundless sky.”

This line is regarded as one of the most beautiful passages in classical Chinese literature.

With just a few strokes, it captures a vast autumn scene:
the sunset clouds glowing softly, a solitary bird crossing the sky,
the river stretching endlessly until it becomes indistinguishable from the heavens.

It is not only a description of nature, but a moment of harmony —
movement and stillness, distance and clarity, solitude and freedom, all held in balance.

A reminder that when the heart is calm,
the world opens into one continuous horizon.
