Last night October 30th we opened the latest Club Eurovision at Nowood Concert Hall in Adelaide. Club Eurovision is our equivalent to Sweden's Melodie Festivalen - a song-writing heat that selects which song and which singer will represent Sweden in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. All good. Our version, "Club Eurovision" has 6 songs competing - but we include a costume parade to select costumes that can be included in our homage to Eurovision - "Song Contest Almost Eurovision"
How a show "goes" is all about perception, we all know that. For me, as the Creative Director I thought the technical side of things was not "fabulous" however, for the audience, they didn't clock much of that - they just witnessed some truly magnificent singers, musicians and dancers delivering a show that brought joy, laughter and an opportunity to decide who was the audience favourites. Philippines, our first Asian entry took the honours last night, with Ukraine pipped at the post. The crowd were very happy, in which case I am very happy. I will post some vision soon, but here is a shot of Philippines sharing the love:
