Somerton Park Kindergarten | Logo Design

I’m so excited to finally share a project I’ve been working on behind the scenes, the new logo for Somerton Park Kindergarten.

This one was incredibly special to me. As a former student, being asked to design their new logo after 22 years was such an honour.

Nature play sits at the heart of the kindergarten, so it was important to reflect that in the design, especially by featuring the historic gum tree that holds so much meaning to the kindy.

It was important to have the children’s input in the logo, who shared what they love most about their kindergarten. One of the most common responses was, “our big gum tree where we play and hear the noisy magpies.” That insight became a key inspiration for the final concept.

The goal was to create a logo that feels modern, yet intentionally childlike, reflecting how the children experience and learn through their nature play environment each day.
