The Gentle Human

The Gentle Human Gentle Human is new music venue officially opening by August. Offering an intimate space with quality entertainment, local food, beer, wine and ciders.

The Gentle Human will be an Inspirational, up beat and refreshing venue. We will serve quality , organic, local and tasteful food and drinks, and will be a hub for Adelaide's music and arts scene, also hosting a stream of travelling musicians and artists spilling new energy into the city. We aim to serve the community with a space to be inspired and creative. We would like to make an example for

a more sustainable and community minded way of living, by our use of recycled furniture, minimising waste using composting systems and our Do It Your Self approach to the foundations of the business. Our closeness to each other and neighbouring community members allows people to feel more at home and included. The space we create at Gentle Human is not just a bar but a place for people to come and share ideas and skills through workshops and bond with others in a positive way through music and art including a choir, jamming and child friendly, alcohol free events and workshops.

We are gonna have a Gentle Human festival later in the year, and we need your help!!! possible site ideas???..... all artists, decor crew, musos, dancers, circus freaks, production pixies get involved here by dropping us a message, or come by The House of Donkey cafe and talk to one of us.. This will be a new, and unique Adelaide festival, fueled by the love in our community. It's gonna be a crazy load of fun, and we can all do it together !! We need ideas and hardcore crew to help us out!..So get on it, share the possibilities, the creative energy, and the love.

In amongst all the festival mayhem and The House of Donkey shenanigans, we've been missing playing music with everyone. So starting on April 2nd, Wednesday nights are going to become OPEN MIC nights at The Gentle Human. That gives everyone a bit of breathing time after the Fringe to get your performance together. Spoken word, poetry, dance, jokes, etc. all welcome. Not just restricted to musical acts. Bring forth your creative offerings..
