One shed door closes and another opens!

Sorry for being so rubbish at social media, but there is lots of change going on this end. My in-laws decided to sell their home, property and cherry orchard. This of course means Im no longer operating out of the wonderful stone shed I’ve called my creative space for the last 2 years.

Im currently working from little setup I’ve cobbled together at home in one of our spare room. The plans are to build a new space in my family home in the coming months.

I’ve gotta give a massive shout out to my in-laws for letting me convert the space into a studio. Everyone who came through the studio got to meet them or have a lunch cooked for them by my amazing mother in-law Helen. Also got to mention my incredible wife who has helped and supported me transition my career in the UK to Australia. Pip also helped a bunch with construction and restoration of the space. My whole family have been incredible helping me transition my life and career over to Australia.

I’ve also got to mention every single band and artist that have come through Stone Shed Studio and trusted me with their music and art!

I’ll post some photos in the next few days of the build and recording sessions.

On Monday for a nice change of scenery I popped to the legend that is ' studio to track some drums for the wonderful .duo for their awesome new single.

Apparently this is the most microphones used at Josh's studio. more doesn't necessarily mean better, but because I was unfamiliar with Josh's space I thought I best make sure I capture everything and use every mic channel available.

I love tracking drums in one room spaces, it has its downsides but I love the instant communication. Liz, Hamish and I were able to give Josh feedback and get some awesome takes.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE & ALL!

I have some super exciting news to share with y'all! & I have been working over the last year on our very first library album 'Art Pop'. Its out now on and has been publish by

Super proud of this project and its my first music release since 2008, I'm super happy to be writing music again. It was freakin' awesome to work on a project with Lucinda where we shared writing and production duties 50/50, Watch out for Adelaide Cin is going places!

I'd also like to thank .britton.10 & for their support and persistent nagging which meant this project got finished and released. I'm very lucky to have friends and mentors so supportive.

Also apologies for the lack of posts over the last few months, I'm really not good at this social media thing. It have been a little busy here at Stone Shed Studio and I was also working full time at , my in-laws pick your own cherry orchard here in Ashton throughout Dec/Jan while also juggling recording and mixing work too.

Holy Moly sorry its been so long since my last post, it's been an awesome month or so, lots has been going on.

Last month I went back into the studio with to track drums for a new song of theirs. We were lucky enough to track drums at the brand new - with at the helm.

The week after that and I were asked to take part in 's Songs Program. We got to meet a bunch incredible artists, musicians, songwriters and producers and wrote a new song every day. It was incredibly fun and loverly to spend a week surrounded by so many creatives.

Since then I been finishing up mixes for , & .

I've also just finished mixing a very special album project Lucinda and have been working on for just under a year, can't wait for y'all to hear it.

On Friday released this absolutely stunning track.

Give your ear holes a little treat this long weekend and give this a spin, you wont bloody regret it you bunch of silly sausages!

Lucinda tracked this whopper at , which is a beautiful studio the Machin family have been working on. When I got the files I blown away by the sound of the space and literally everything Lucinda had record.

Lucinda had me back on board with this track to play bass and mix it. I loved working on this track so much, the drums sound massive and its mostly the room mics and the toms also sound incred.

Also big shout out to and for the amazing drum and guitar performances on this one!

Please don’t change Lucinda, your music is amazing, original and inspiring. The lyrics are sick and your production skills are making me want to quit! PROUD.

Holy guacamole more incredible music by incredible people!

lastest release 'Honeycomb Cruise' came out today and is available on all the regular streaming platforms.

These awesome people trusted me with thier EP last year, which was an incredible experiance and they were the first band to record at Stone Shed Studios, which was super fun.

They came back to the studio in April this year to workshop and record the song. They are super happy for me to jump in with Ideas (good or bad) and I had so much fun working on this song with them. I loved getting the drum sounds on this track, tea towel drums & vari speeded down in pitch, sounds bloody loverly. I also had a blast working with Kayla on her vocals, trying out a few different Ideas and It was lots of fun to mix and process, her melodies and parts give me lots of room to experiment with reverbs and delays, I love it so much!

I'm super lucky to work with such talented people who write such awesome tunes. Make sure you go and listen to this track on repeat!

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR AND GO AND LISTEN TO 'S NEW SINGLE!

'Something Better' is a straight up banger and y'all should go check it out, its on all the regular streaming platforms.

It also got a spin on Triple J last night, how awesome is that, these chaps definetly deserve it!

They worked super hard on recording this track and I had the pleasure of mixing and doing some aditional production. It was a super fun track to mix and work on with the band, we got super creative with this track and I'm looking forward to seeing whats next for Cove Street.

Yesterday the incredible released their new single 'Bandaid'

Its a bloody epic stonker of a tune and you should all go and check it out, its available on the regular streaming platforms.

Its also been given some freakin' awesome reviews on (see pictures 2 & 3).

I had an absolute blast working on the track with Angus, Nick, Jordan and Kyle. Some highlights include helping add the Pinegrove breakdown, adding in the gang vocals, working on the sound design which is all over the track and layering all the guitars in the bridge/build up.

Keep an eye on these guys!

brand new funkalicious single 'Psycho' came out on Friday - Its got horns, guitars, funky bass, drummy drums and lyrics you can shout a long too at their single launch in a few weeks - WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?

Go check it out on all the regular streaming platforms and also Triple J unearthed, you really wont regret it.

I had such a blast working on this track with the gang. We started off the sessions by really getting deep into re-arranging the track and make it pop and smack you where it matters. Mum Thinks Blue also had a clear vision for this song referencing Vulfpeck for the sound and tones, so we didn't use guitar amps and just DI'd the guitars like Velfpeck guitar Cory Wong and prettty much every Motown record.

Also how freakin' good is the single artwork!!
