Poet announcement!
We will have the amazing poets; Nigel Ford, Stella Damarjati, Courtney Mason, Conor Brown, and Carissa Fischer.
We can't wait to bring these poets to Poets Take Over, so come along on the 22nd of May at Page & Turner bookstore on level 2 of the Myer Centre from 5:30pm

Have you heard about our monthly Say It In Six prompt or the Ellipsis Poetry Book Case?
Say It In Six is our little challenge to you each month where you get to win something for yourself, prizes have ranged from a drink at the bar, to a book or piece of art! May's prize will be a hand crocheted bookmark by .fechner.lante so write a poem in under six lines on the prompt of 'bookmark' and bring it along on the 14th of May!
The Book Case was started with the help of Shaine Melrose and it's purpose is to keep circulating poetry books in the poetry community! These are not free books but rather a book swap, you bring along a poetry book that you are finished with or maybe just don't vibe with anymore and swap it for something new at the Book Case! Poetry related books are also welcome!
Our next event is the open mic on the 14th of May and you can catch both the Say It In Six poems and the Book Case there!

Our next event is May's spoken word open mic on Thursday the 14th!
Join us for our regular night full of amazing poetry! The last few open mic lists have filled very quickly, so if you want to make sure you get a spot on our list it is probably best to arrive before 6:30pm!
