From 2015 to 2023, veganism grew fast.

More options. More cafes. More supermarket ranges. More visibility than ever before.

It felt like we were moving forward.

But lately, life has gotten harder and for many, veganism has felt harder too.

This year, we’re going back to basics.

It’s about care, consistency, and coming back to why we started.

Standing up for animals in everyday choices.
Cooking simple meals.
Swapping ingredients we thought we “needed.”
Speaking up online, in person, and through what we wear and eat.

Over the years, we've hosted some delicious cooking demonstrations with amazing talents like Haans Siver, Rebecca Stonor, Doctors For Nutrition, Tegan Steele, Greggory Hill, Simon Toohey, Mandy Hall, Andrew Spudfit Taylor, Adam Guthrie, Heleen Haitjema, Leonie Wierenga, and of course, the charismatic vegan superstar Zacchary Bird. 🌱

Now, we have a question for YOU: Shall we bring back the cooking demos and the hugely popular tastings again this year?

A huge THANK YOU to every volunteer who has helped bring the Vegan Festival Adelaide to life over the years. 💚

From early morning setup crews to the smiling faces at gates, info booths, kids’ zone, cooking demos and beyond, this festival simply would not be what it is without our incredible vollies.
