Tucked away in a quiet laneway in the heart of Adelaide stands the oldest purpose-built theatre on mainland Australia – the Queen’s Theatre.
This stunning building was first constructed in 1841 and today boasts gorgeous heritage features like exposed bricks and wooden roof beams and hitching rings still attached to the walls from its time as a horse stable. It’s in demand as a venue for theatrical performances, event launches, markets and festivals.
The theatre is managed by GWB McFarlane Theatres.
