We had the honour of attending the Pride Gala on Saturday night, and we came home with some exciting news…

Feast Festival won the Chair’s Commendation Award ✨

On top of that, Penny, our Board Chair, took home Volunteer of the Year, and the Feast Q***r Youth Drop-In won Community Group of the Year! We're so proud of everyone who has poured their heart into making the Feast Q***r Youth Drop In what it is today, and of Penny for the countless ways she shows up for this community.

We are so proud of everyone involved, every nominee, and the incredible people who brought the night together.

Thank you to Pride Adelaide for a beautiful celebration of our community! 🌈

If your event is taking place within a participating council area listed below, you may be eligible for financial support to help bring your idea to life!

Calling all our creative chaos-makers! ✨

Could your artwork become the face of Feast Festival 2026?

This year, we're inviting artists to respond to our theme, JOY! Joy can be loud or soft, playful or powerful, personal or collective, and we want to see what it looks like through your eyes.

The selected artist will receive:
✨ A $1,000 artist fee
✨ Artwork featured as the official Feast Festival 2026 program cover
✨ Free Festival registration to present your own event or exhibition
✨ A dedicated half-page in the Festival program
✨ Recognition across Feast Festival's print, digital and promotional campaigns

Applications are now open and close at 11:59PM ACST on 30 June.

Throughout June, we celebrate our communities, honour those who fought for the rights we have today, and continue advocating for a future where LGBTQIASB+ people can live openly and safely.

In an often tumultuous world, this is a chance to recognise how far we've come, acknowledge the work still ahead, and choose joy in the face of adversity.

This year, JOY is the heart of Feast Festival 2026. In a world that often asks q***r people to shrink, justify themselves, or exist quietly, choosing joy is radical.

Joy is:
✨ Taking up space
✨ Being unapologetically yourself
✨ Dancing with your friends
✨ Creating art
✨ Finding community

Joy exists in every moment we choose ourselves despite the criticism, despite the expectations, despite the pressure to be anything other than who we are.

Can’t wait to see this come alive for Feast Festival 2026!
