Rosie Riley was born in 1954 in Willowra Community, 200km Northwest of Alice Springs. Rosie and her sister Mary Ross Nabarrula both leaning to paint from their father at a young age and have gone onto be amazing artists.

Budgerigar Dreaming is an important Dreaming and the migration of the birds is celebrated in traditional ceremonies. The birds not only are a form of Bush Tucker, but have become a key to survival with the people learning to follow the birds to water sources in the harsh conditions of Central Australia.

Julieanne paints Dreamings of her home Country, Bush Tucker’s and Budgerigar Dreaming. She now lives in Adelaide, with her husband and children, her Mother often travelling from Alice Springs to spend time as a family.

Maureen inherited Dreaming’s from both her Mother and Father including Fire, Emu, Water and Bush Onion. Maureen now spends her time between Alice Springs and Adelaide, painting and passing her ancestral Dreaming’s onto her children.

Edward Blitner was born in 1961 in Katherine, NT. He is renown for his depictions if Native Flora and Fauna and Mimi spirits, painted in precise Cross Hatching style from the Top End.

This painting depicts the Eagle Hawk who travelled overhead as the Bushman travelled across the Outback, never lost as he had his Eagle companion with knowledge of the Outback.

Reg Pengarte was born in 1966 in Alice Springs, NT. He paints artworks relating to his ancestors country of Roper River, in particular the native wildlife and how they are hunted. His artworks feature traditional ‘Cross Hatching’ adding to the intricate designs and vibrant backgrounds.
