There's something special about Cleland when the fog rolls in.

I took these on a misty morning walk in Cleland National Park - the eucalypts were dripping, the trail was quiet, and the whole forest felt like it was holding its breath. The light filtering through the mist was just magical.

One of those mornings that reminds you why we are so lucky to have this on our doorstep here in the Adelaide Hills.

7am on the Waterfall Gully to Mt Lofty climb and you can already feel the change. The cockies were already at breakfast in the wattle, sun was out, and the views were free as always.

Love this time of year in the Hills.

Caught this little one making his way through the morning fog.

Waited ages in the cold, and then he gave me one perfect hop. Totally worth it. 🦘✨

If you needed a sign to visit Morialta this weekend, this is it. 💧

First Falls is absolutely pumping after the rain and it's not often you see it like this. Quick 20 min drive from the city and feels like you're somewhere else entirely.

Tram 242 to MORIALTA - TERMINUS 🚃💦

Did you know Adelaide once built a tram just to get to a waterfall?

This 1915 branch ran up St Bernards Rd through Fourth Creek to Morialta Falls Reserve. Closed March 1956.

Morialta is Kaurna Country — Marriyarta meaning "ever-flowing" — donated by John Smith Reid and declared a National Pleasure Resort on 15 July 1915. The old kiosk is gone, now it's just a coffee van by.

Today it's all native bush — red gums, stringybarks and native orchids along the creek.

Went for a walk at Morialta Conservation Park and witnessed something I've never heard before.

These two koalas had just been mobbed by a group of birds and were letting out the most incredible, deep bellowing roars. If you've only ever thought koalas were quiet and cuddly, turn your sound on for this one - it's like nothing you'd expect.

This morning at 7:30am in Cleland National Park.

The fog rolled in through the gums and turned the whole trail into something out of a fairytale. So quiet you could hear every leaf drop. Adelaide Hills magic at its best.
