lia building upon a national & international identity. As we work towards the future our collective seeks to break barriers and build upon the First Nations dance sector and our strong cultural connections to our surrounding language groups expanding upon artists' expertise.

Illuminate Adelaide City Lights

NGARRINDJERI RUWI, KONDILI

The story of Kondili, the whale who is the keeper of fire, Ngarrindjeri ​Ruwi is a tale that stretches from the river to the sea. Created by ​Tjarutja Dance Theatre Collective, this unique dance and visual art ​work uses moving imagery to showcase the ancestral bond of artist ​Melanie Koolmatrie to her country, her beloved ruwi (land). Story ​told by Trevor Jamison.
