Please be courteous when parking in the Park 22 carpark. Do not park on the roadways as this blocks the traffic and potential emergency vehicles. Roadways are marked in yellow on the map!!

With the revocation of the declaration of a Major Emergency under the Emergency Management Act 2004 means that the Directions in force under that Act also were revoked. What does this mean for SAUCNA Association Courts?

Effective from 28th May 2022:

· SAUCNA’s approved COVID Management Plan is not required;
· Marshalls are therefore no longer required;
· Restrictions on the number of spectators have been removed; and
· Provisions under our plan that include mustering at designated points before games, our transition processes between time slots, signage, physical distancing etc. etc. etc. are now also no longer required;

Effective from 4th June:
· Central timing will cease and clubs will be required to provide electronic timers and a timekeeper for each match; and
· Time can be stopped for injury/illness/blood/other reasons as per the INF rules of netball.

We sincerely thank everyone for their support and assistance over the past two+ years. The fact that we have been able to keep our competition running is testament to everyone's support and consideration.

All club secretaries have been sent a lengthy explanation regarding "classroom contacts" so if you have questions please direct them to your secretary or club contact - they should forward the email to you which contains direct advice from SA Health.

We have been advised that unless you have COVID symptoms or have tested positive you MAY attend summer competition matches within our COVID Management Plan. We have all done so well following the protocols to date, this is just another hurdle for us to jump together.

Apologies for the late notice but the Board has been negotiating parking arrangements with government and the City of Adelaide right up until the last minute. We can now advise that we have permission to use Park 23 (western side of Anzac Highway) as well as the portion of Park 22 not allocated to the RAT site. However, there are important requirements from City of Adelaide in relation to Park 23 access and parking that the Board would like relayed to all families. Access to Park 23 is strictly:

· for SAUCNA netball activities only. That is, non-SAUCNA netball clubs that use the courts for training/trials are not permitted to use Park 23 without council’s separate permission; and

· only between the hours of 17.00 (5 p.m.) and 22.00 (10 p.m.) Tuesday to Friday inclusive; and

· commencing on the 1 February 2022 and concluding on 11 March 2022, or concluding upon the return of all parking availability in Park 22 (whichever is the earliest – for example, if the RAT site is decommissioned before 11/3/22); and

· being contained to the hard stand areas only (as shown on the site map below). What this means is that vehicles must only be parked on the asphalt area, and not on unsealed portions of Park 23; and

· being managed with a traffic controller at the entry and exit at all times and supported by signage. The Board has negotiated traffic managers to perform this task, and their directions must be followed; and

· users of Park 23 to be mindful that there is no lighting within the designated parking area and to exercise a higher degree of caution re vehicle movement and personal safety.

Council may revoke this permission at its discretion with 24 hours written notice. This could include council becoming aware of non-compliance with these instructions. It is therefore very important that SAUCNA families observe the instructions and comply at all times.

One other important matter the Board has negotiated is reduced speed limits between 1700-2200 on Anzac Highway – a 40 km/h limit will apply in consideration of the safety of pedestrians crossing the road. This is a big win for SAUCNA.

Best wishes to everyone for the resumption of the season.

As we return to netball in the coming weeks there are changes to the parking arrangements due to the RAT collection site in the Park 22 car park. Please ensure that you follow the directions of any parking attendants.

Entry is from ANZAC HIGHWAY ONLY. You will not be able to enter the carpark from Goodwood OR Greenhill Roads. Exit will be through the Anzac Highway and Goodwood Road gates but PLEASE be patient. You may wish to plan your trip so that you have some extra time to park and get to the courts. Rendezvous points between matches have NOT changed.

Overflow parking is available in Park 23 on the opposite side of Anzac Highway with entry and exit points as marked on the map. We understand this is not ideal for us however it gives everyone the opportunity to continue with the season. Our COVID Management plan remains as it has been for the entire season.

All club secretaries have been sent full details of the parking requirements - please contact your club for further details if necessary.

***GRAND FINAL DAY SPECTATOR NUMBERS*** We are pleased to advise that our COVID Management plan will support each team being able to have TWO spectators per player and FIVE Team officials (Coach, team manager, scorer, time keeper and primary care person (ie first aid)). COVID Marshals will be vigilant in ensuring that we do not breach these numbers.
Last week some teams stretched the limit - thankfully most moved on when asked.
We do NOT want to have to ask you to leave so please check with your team to make sure you are abiding by the limit.

Failure to comply could result in a major fines and loss of our COVID Management plan which could impact our ability to provide future matches (either on Grand Final Day OR our summer season). Let's keep our "Defence" up and score some goals this weekend by complying with the directions.

24/06/2021

If you have been in Greater Melbourne in the last 14 days you are not permitted to attend Association courts for Saturday matches as SAUCNA are operating this venue under a COVID Management plan. SA COVID direction updated at midnight on 25th June, prohibits entry to anyone who has travelled from the Greater Melbourne area in the last 14 days. Our COVID Marshals may ask you if you have been in Melbourne recently - please tell them the truth. We don't want to be responsible for an outbreak here in SA.
We continue to thank everyone for their compliance with the COVID Management plan and remind everyone to keep to the 1.5m social distancing so we can keep watching some fantastic netball.

23/04/2021

A reminder that Association Courts are still operating under our COVID Management Plan. Details are available on the COVID-19 Procedures page on the SAUCNA website. If your team is playing at 1:45pm or 3:30pm please assemble at the check points (as per summer) until the siren is sounded to move to the courts once they have been cleared from the previous match.

We thank everyone for their compliance in week 1 and hope that this continues as we move forward.

01/03/2021

Semi finals start TONIGHT!! Good luck to all teams. A reminder that we are still bound by our COVID Management Plan which only permits ONE spectator per player. Please remember to check in with your QR code and complete the COVID forms.
