Without the Absolut Kizomba community, this event would never have happened. The quality of people that regularly turn up and dance with us make the Adelaide Kizomba scene fun and vibrant. Since initially putting pen to paper a couple of months ago, the unforeseen work involved in coordinating the Absolut Kizomba Festival was extraordinary! From the outset, we were committed to providing the very best possible experience for all involved. But delivering on this was only possibly due to enormous amount of help received. Where to begin? Cheryl Drury - gave up her apartment, calibrated our ideas, coordinated registration, helped teach the routine and provided lots of laughs. Maddalena Sepe - organised our shirts, shopped, prepared delicious food, provided bedding and filled in at last minute to perform. Louise Russell - guest transfers, food & coffee, door biatching, hosting training and letting her man off the leash for a few months. Simona Vanni - hosting artists and loved ones, transfers, coffee and door biatching. Charli Z Ashby - MC'ing. Yassin Mutati II - photography, DJ'ing and running a workshop. Philip Johns - photography and videography. Petra Verburg & Gentil Valentin - door biatching, Jess, Wally and The Office On Pirie crew - for hosting us at their venue and providing wonderful hospitality. The Absolut Kizomba performance team for putting on an great show. Daniel Evans - designed our logo and Prashant Herrera Perrera Jr.....this guy - built the website, choreographed and taught the routine, created epic videos and helped create the Absolut Kizomba brand. AMAZING, thank you!! Team work made the dream work! :)

Absolut Kizomba had the privilege of hosting some of the most experienced Kizomba instructors/ performers, including Tamás Nagy & Kalicza Nikolett(Hungary, Spirit of Kizomba), Manuel De Candela & Florencia Rodriguez-Vaca (KIZOMBA MELBOURNE with Candela Dance Productions) and Lukas Enciso& Vanessa Liang (Melbourne, MUNDO Style). You all brought such professionalism and were an absolut pleasure to work with. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion for Kizomba with us, being so generous with your time, friendly and approachable and dancing with us. We couldn't be any happier to have had you star in the first Absolut Kizomba Festival 2015. THANK YOU and see you soon! :)

That's a wrap for the Absolut Kizomba Festival 2015. It kicked off with an intimate house party, a whole day of workshops by interstate and international instructors and concluded with a gangsta-themed main party, featuring a showcase of Kizomba performances and of course, lots of dancing! As organisers, we wanted to develop Kizomba in Adelaide and bring the wider community closer together for a fun and memorable experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope you did too!
