The Capri is an independent not-for-profit cinema run by a network of generous volunteers. Built in 1941, it is heritage listed and houses the Theatre Organ Society’s unique world class theatre pipe organ. Next time you pop in, make sure you clock our vibrant lighting upgrade in the foyer spaces, thanks to a grant from our very own local heroes, . We've gone LED so we'll save some moula on energy and be a touch greener in the process. We are so very grateful for their ongoing support and for all they do for local community organisations like us. We'd also like to thank the dedicated volunteers who designed, sourced and installed the new lighting.

Last night, our cult classic community lost its icon.

Tim Curry gave us Dr. Frank-N-Furter — the sweet transvestite from Tr*******al, Transylvania who turned midnight showings into a ritual, a costume party, and a home for anyone who ever felt like an outsider. For over 40 years, his performance has brought our audience together, week after week, year after year, in fishnets and face paint, screaming call-backs into the dark.

Thank you, Tim, for the fearlessness, the glamour, and the joy you gave generations of Rocky Horror fans. You didn’t just play a role — you built a community that’s still dancing the Time Warp decades later.

Our regulars know the ritual doesn’t stop. Our next Rocky Horror Picture Show screening this November will be a chance for all of us to come together the way we always have — to sing, to dance, to throw toast, and to celebrate a legacy that will outlive us all.
