There was a time when this was only a dream.
A dream of living in another country. A dream of stepping out of our comfort zone, hand in hand with the people I love, without knowing what tomorrow would bring or what life would look like on the other side of the world.
Then, in His perfect timing, God made that dream a reality.
He brought us to Adelaide, Australia, and invited us into a season filled with new beginnings, unexpected adventures, and countless lessons. Everything was unfamiliar—the places, the culture, the people, and the rhythm of daily life. Yet somehow, we never truly felt alone.
Looking back, I can see that God had already gone before us.
He cared for us in ways we never could have imagined. Through the beauty of His creation. Through friends who became family. Through kind neighbors. Through strangers whose generosity arrived exactly when we needed it. Every encounter, every answered prayer, every open door reminded us that nothing happens by accident. What many would call coincidence, we have come to know as God’s loving hand at work.
I still remember how our journey began.
Before we even knew where we would live, God had already prepared a home for us through the kindness of wonderful people—a place that was warm, peaceful, and perfectly located. When I started looking for work, He opened a door with surprising ease and blessed me with an incredible manager and a workplace where I felt welcomed, valued, and supported. He led us to a school where our child was surrounded by caring teachers and beautiful friendships, and where we found people who never hesitated to help us whenever life became difficult.
Again and again, God gave us more than we asked for and far more than we deserved.
This journey has never been just about living overseas. It has been a story of learning to trust God when we couldn’t see the next step, and discovering that His plans are always better than our own.
As we look back on this chapter, our hearts overflow with gratitude. Every memory reminds us that God’s faithfulness is not just something we read about—it is something we have lived.
