This is huge news, and we’re absolutely thrilled to share that First Day has been awarded the 2020 Rose d’Or in the Children and Youth category, amongst entries from all over the world.

First Day has already made a difference in so many people’s Iives, and hopefully this award will enable it to reach an even wider audience.

WE WON!!! First Day took out the MIPCOM Diversify TV Award for Kids’ Programming at an awards ceremony in Cannes overnight.

We are THRILLED to announce that Matchbox Pictures will open it's South Australian office this week AND has begun filming the highly anticipated third season of drama series WANTED in South Australia!

Based at Adelaide Studios the SA Matchbox branch will be headed up by South Australian producer Kirsty Stark (Wastelander Panda, Goober) who will drive the local development slate in with Matchbox.

Commissioned by Channel 7, and directed by the highly talented Jocelyn Moorhouse (The Dressmaker) and Peter Templeman (Wanted 1 & 2, The Wrong Girl, Offspring), WANTED Season 3 will see the return of stars Rebecca Gibney, also one of the show’s Creators and Executive Producers, and Geraldine Hakewill.

FIRST DAY has just won the Gender Equity Prize at the prestigious Prix Jeunesse International Children’s Television Festival, and been awarded second place in the 7-10 Year Fiction category, behind the BBC’s REVOLTING RHYMES.

Congratulations to all of our cast and crew, particularly Evie Macdonald, whose performance was complimented many times during the week - and a huge thank you to the ABC and Screen Australia for supporting us to create the show.
