This video is by far the most important concept video I have ever choreographed to, and one that I am emotionally proud of. Whilst I had to choreograph to this song for my own reasons, I have also been feeling anxiety and reluctance to share it.

Please note that this video has a warning at the beginning, so viewer discretion is advised.

Thank you to RAYE for being brave and vulnerable and sharing your story, this song resonates with me.

A HUGE thank you to my husband JB Tolentino for the hours spent filming and editing this piece for me, I really appreciate the time you put into this.

Hi All,

For those interested, just a reminder that Term 1 of my Heels and Afro/Dancehall classes start this coming Tuesday 13th February. Classes will run for 10 weeks every Tuesday night.

7:15-8:15 - Heels Choreography
8:15-9:15 - Afro/Dancehall

Classes will be held at Ground Force Studios, 290B North East Road Klemzig.

So that there is no confusion, please note that these classes are run by me, not Ground Force so if you would like to enrol in my classes, please contact me directly.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

I am still buzzing from the energy last night! I had the best night! 🥰❤️🙏😁

I just want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who came out to the Philippine Oroquieta Flood Relief Fundraiser Dance Workshop last night. 🙏 It was so great to connect with my old students and I was also happy to see half of the old UPD Crew there. Zoe and Emelia Williams a shame we missed you in the end due to covid but I hope you guys feel better soon. There was even a couple of new faces there too, which was lovely to see. 🙂

A big thank you to Kirsten at Pure Funk Dance for allowing me to use your studio for the Fundraiser, you have an amazing space.

Thank you also to all the studios and dancers who helped spread the word and shared the event with their students/friends.

Thank you also to Gabe from Motion Theory Physio for squeezing me in on Saturday and taping my ankle up good. You have no idea how much more at ease I felt after having my ankle taped up. I literally sprained my ankle last week and was not sure how I would go teaching this workshop, but I pushed through because cancelling this fundraiser was not really an option. Thank you Bianca Rugari for the recommendation.

Thank you to Kate Downton and Penelope Shum for agreeing to be my assistants if I needed it due to my ankle, although I didn’t really need it in the end. LOL!

Lastly a HUGE thank you also to all the people so far that have donated to the Go Fund Me I have set up. We are extremely thankful for all your kind donations as it will really help those families in need. I will still be keeping the Go Fund Me open for the next couple of weeks so if anyone would like to donate, you can do so in the link provided below.

Our goal for this fundraiser is $5000, even better is we can surpass that. My amazing husband JB Tolentino said whatever we raise at the workshop, he will match it, so what was $760 is now $1520. So far with the workshop, go-fund me, and bank transfer donations combined we have raised $2545. We are aiming to assist some of the families in Talik and Tobok in Oroquieta City as those were the areas that were hit the worst due to being located by the sea and river. The money raised will assist these families with bags of rice and also money towards materials to help rebuild their homes.

The Philippine Oroquieta Flood Relief Fundraiser Dance Workshop is here!

Registrations and payment welcome at the door. We accept cash payment or bank transfer.

Please arrive 15 minutes before class time to sign in and complete the registration process.

Families in the Philippines really need your assistance to help rebuild their homes. If you have no plans and want to support a great cause then come along and have some fun.

Pure Funk

Class 1 - 2:00-3:15pm
Class 2 - 3:30-4:45pm

$30 for 1 class

Both classes are Int/Adv Level from approx 16yrs & up.

This fundraiser is to help assist my family and other families in Oroquieta City that were affected by the floods that took place on Christmas and Boxing Day of 2022. Oroquieta along with other towns in Misamis Occidental, Philippines were hit by severe flooding from constant rain. A landslide also occurred from the rainfall and thousands of people were affected. Many people lost their homes or were displaced and sadly 44 lives were lost from the floods and landslide.

100% of the profits raised in this fundraiser will help assist families affected by this disaster.

The new term of Urban Poetry Dance (UPD) Heels Classes starts next Tuesday 6th October.
