De STIG

De STIG Launching at the 2022 Adelaide Fringe, deSTIG is a funny and heartwarming look at what it means to b Introducing Brendan Clare: actor, husband, father, IT nerd.

Diagnosed with autism in his 40s, he faces his fears to tell his story with humour and heart. Brendan will stare his anxiety clear in the eye, talk about why we don’t say Asperger’s anymore, ruminate on procr

What a fabulous day! Thank you to everyone who came to the shows. It was so rewarding to hear laughter at all the right moments! And to everyone who said they wanted more...well, there's always next year!

Just did a lovely interview with Peter Goers on Evenings. Perhaps he'll come see the show too! :)

Did you know that deSTIG will be performed OUTDOORS at The Piglet in Gluttony?
We love that because fresh air = COVID safe.
And because sunshine is the best, right?
So today we took the chance to rehearse in beautiful parklands in North Adelaide, lapping up the rays.

Can you believe Adelaide Fringe starts in less than 2 weeks? We can't!
Book your tickets to deSTIG here. Brendan Clare says 'pretty please with a sloth on top*'.
* Disclaimer: BC has never said that. It's just what I thought when I saw this picture. But it might be something he says one day. Possibly. Or not. Either way, I cannot promise that there will be any sloths in this show.

Things I learned today:

1 - If you move a tub of Ben & Jerry's icecream from the freezer to the fridge for a little while to soften, but then forget and leave it in the fridge overnight, the lid seal will actually keep the liquid icecream fully inside the tub - no spillage in your fridge!

2 - A tub of liquid Ben & Jerry's makes for a delicious, if very sweet, cold soup.

Word of the Day: TAKIWATANGA (Maori) — autism, literally ‘his or her own time and space’.
