Some good alternatives to consider.
Self-led options...but a relationship is ultimately still the core of all healing
・・・
Hello! Your friendly therapist here to remind you that therapy is not for everyone. Traditional therapy is not for everyone. Therapy is also a privilege not everyone has access to. I’ve compiled some therapy alternatives that can be self-lead or can be lead by a therapist if traditional talk therapy doesn’t work for you.
•
As a therapist, I strongly believe in the power of therapy. It is a relationship that allows for healing and growth. I also want to acknowledge that therapy might not feel good for everyone. It may feel hard to talk or process with another person. You might have been hurt by a therapist in the past so it feels hard to trust again. You may be taking a pause from therapy and looking for tools in the in between space. Sometimes our systems need breaks in therapy in order to process the change and growth.

Let me repeat: there is NOTHING wrong with you if therapy doesn’t work or feel good to you. You deserve tools and alternatives that DO feel good.
