What an amazing night! Thank you Adelaide for your tremendous support!

With almost a full house at Her Majesty's Theatre the energy of the audience, nearly 1300 people strong, matched the outstanding show of talent on the stage. From the spectacular Polish and Ukrainian Dancers, to the peaceful yet powerful performances by our classical musicians, to the energy of the Lemko Band and Immanuel College's Big Band One, the concert went from highest of highs, to the lowest of lows.

Thank you to each and every person in the audience for joining us on that emotional journey.

A special thank you to the Patron of the Concert, Former Premier of South Australia, the Honourable Dr. Dean Brown AO. His active involvement, support, and guidance of the concert speaks to the passion and care he shares towards this important cause.

Thank you to all the supporters of the concert, without whom this special event would not have taken place. To the South Australian Government, and the Australia Day Council - it is encouraging to see Australia's public institutions and organisations standing behind the people in their community endeavours. Announcing Solomia Onyskiv. Solomia is an awarded young gymnast and dancer, taking to the Stage at Her Majesty's Theatre for the Stand With Ukraine Concert tomorrow night. The talented dancers of Hopak's senior group will join us onstage to celebrate their Ukrainian heritage, in an energetic display of dance, friendship and Ukrainian culture. The Australian Girls Choir has developed a reputation for inspirational performances to audiences around the world, through national and international tours, television appearances, and thousands of public events.

It is a privilege to have the Australian Girls Choir perform at the Stand with Ukraine: Charity Concert Series - 62 choristers strong!

Founded in 1984, the AGC now has over 5,500 girls in training in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Some of their performance highlights include singing for Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II and President Barack Obama, and alongside Hugh Jackman in his Australian Arena Tour.

A true recognition of the choir’s success is their selection by Qantas to represent the ‘Spirit of Australia’ since 1998 in the hugely successful ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ advertising campaigns, which have captured the hearts of the nation.

Cellist Jack Overall has performed with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Baroque, and as part of the Coriole Music Festival (2022) and Chamber Music Adelaide’s On The Terrace (2021). Recent performance highlights include: Schumann’s Cello Concerto with the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra (2021); solo recitals for Flinders University (2021) and Recitals Australia lunchtime series (2021/22).
