Have you ever noticed the little things that make our festivals feel different?

The bamboo tables where families gather, the Balinese huts that remind us of simpler village life, or the colourful lanterns of Hoi An carrying wishes and dreams.

Asia Oasis is inviting an Asian cultural association or established community group to take ownership of a dedicated cultural space at Colours of Asia: Garden of Wonders, held at Alexandra Gardens from 13โ€“15 & 20-22 November 2026.

We are offering a complimentary festival space for one selected community to transform into a meaningful representation of its culture.

It could be inspired by a traditional gateway, home, courtyard, garden, landmark, village scene, craft or another symbol that expresses your communityโ€™s identity and story.

This is an opportunity for your community to:
โ€ข Represent your culture in your own voice
โ€ข Share your traditions with an anticipated audience of up to 100,000 festival visitors
โ€ข Build wider recognition for your association
โ€ข Connect with new members, supporters and future generations
โ€ข Be recognised as an official cultural-space partner of Colours of Asia

The selected association will be responsible for developing, funding, installing, staffing, maintaining and removing its cultural space. The proposal must be achievable, culturally respectful, visually engaging and compliant with all festival and safety requirements.

Asia Oasis will provide the designated space and promotional recognition. Applicants must have the people, resources and capacity to deliver their proposed concept independently.

A recipe shared by a grandmother. A dance passed down through generations. A song that travels across oceans. Culture grows when it is shared.

At Asia Oasis festivals, we believe there is a difference between "using" a culture and "honouring" it.

Honouring a culture means listening to its stories, celebrating its people, and learning with an open heart.
