Welcome back to the Club Farah team for 2025, Harri .bellydance ❤️

Being a musician, Harri has always had a passion for creating and performing. After finishing high school, Harri decided to venture into the world of dance, dipping her toes in many styles but it wasn't until she was eventually introduced to belly dance that she found a style she loved and became completely hooked.

Although all styles of dance use music in some way, there is something special about the way belly dance uses movement to reflect the different layers and accents within the music so perfectly. For Harri it opened up a whole new world of interpreting sound through dance.

In 2017, when she officially caught the 'belly dance bug', Harri decided to sign up to try every belly dance style she could, ranging from oriental and folkloric styles, to belly dance fusion and even group improvisational styles.
Belly dance has also taken Harri around the world learning with teachers across different parts of Australia, but also across the world in Spain, England, and the US. Being able to learn from such a variety of teachers meant that Harri eventually became a teacher herself and was able to share the joy she found through belly dance with her students. To this day Harri has made sure to never stop learning and wants to continue to grow and explore all that the belly dance world has to offer.

Belly dance creates a community that brings people of all ages and ethnicities together. Learning about the background and culture behind these many dance styles is what really helps us to respect the history and evolution of belly dance whilst also embracing the different reasons behind why we dance.
