2026 is a very different journey for me, at first I was frustrated that I didn’t have the space or time to paint like I have in the past but it has been a blessing in disguise.

I’m back in the studio after months away due to a water leak, renovations, and trips to Port Lincoln to care for my granddaughter. Our caravan repair business has been busy, and we moved premises, which was exhausting. I needed a break as I couldn’t paint with everything happening. Although I wasn’t painting, it was always on my mind. Our last trip to Port Lincoln inspired me, and now I’m exploring new directions in my art. My studio is mostly cement floors, and I’m just having fun without finishing anything yet. I’m reflecting on love, especially the joy of being a grandparent and seeing my daughter become a mother.

It’s in a different room now as well, sometimes you have to live with them before you are ready to say goodbye 🩷🧡🩵

10th December 2025
Dear diary,
What a busy time it has been over the last month. Quick visit to Port Lincoln to have an early Christmas 🎄 with my T, F and L.
Was so lovely 🩷🩷 missing them already!
Had Friendsgiving with my friends, awesome night (I don’t know where I’d be without my gals)
Met my cousins new wife ( they live interstate) we had a lovely family gathering with all the cousins. Family 😍
Busy packing up workshop, moving time again! Not great timing but will make it work.
Not a lot of time spent in the studio but had fun making collage papers.
Looking forward to getting in there soon.
Nearly finished decorating house for Christmas, been a bit slow there with everything else going on. But house is definitely looking festive.

Warning long post 🥰
Been struggling to post for a while now, it’s not that I haven’t been painting I just wasn’t able to post.
There’s so much pressure on here to be perfect I feel and I just have not been feeling it….I’m tired I am busy being a mum a wife a daughter ( don’t feel I’m very good at that at the moment) a sister a receptionist for our repair business.
My brain has got so many tabs open all the time and it gets so messy in there I had to just stop.
Consistency is something I struggle with in my whole life, and I’m sure others can relate. This week I’ve not even been able to make my bed, the house is desperate for a clean. But I’ve still painted, because that makes me happy 😊
I’m waiting for that week or two which comes around every month or so when I am on fire and on top of things. It’s definitely not this week 🤔 but that’s okay.
Be kind to myself even if I do get a bit frustrated with everything. I am lucky and others are going through so much more.
I write this because someone else I follow did a very honest post about menopause and I think we have to show the s**t sometimes without wanting to get sympathy but to allow everyone to see the other side and that life’s not perfect but it can have bright colours and happiness in it.

Morning 👋🏻🤩 going to spending time out in the garden today….the weather is amazing hello spring 🥰

This one has been hanging around waiting for me to decide if she was really done!
“Be Bold” has rich gorgeous colours and I am happy to say she’s done (for now🤣)

It’s funny how many paintings have been done and then I grow or change and I don’t feel the work anymore so I paint over it. 🤪
