Turns out I do really love making large glowing objects.

I’m currently working on turning my lantern prototype into a real, home-safe version.

I’m also developing a smaller iteration of the sewn part of my installation.

I’ll probably test most of these on my own house or for friends gifts to start.

I’m painting, back to oils. I’ve recently completed a couple of bigs. I’m still testing my technique to find the best way. And I’ll probably create some smalls next.

I’m working with wood and oil paint and canvas and paper and metal and thread.

I’m wondering how many different expressions of the same theme I can get away with in vastly different forms and aesthetics. And I’m wondering how much I care.

I am also working on other things, such as the natural evolution of this series + can I turn these lanterns into real life non-fire-hazard devices?? Results coming soon.
