This Reconciliation Week, we celebrate the strength, creativity and cultural leadership of First Nations artists across regional SA, and the importance of placing First Nations voices at the centre.

Hosted recently on Guuranda, Winda Owl: Stories in Fire & Lanterns brought the Narungga story of Winda the Owl to life on Country through fire, light and storytelling. Led by Narungga artists, community gathered to listen, learn and connect.

Copper Coast Council received support through the Regional Arts Fund to deliver this community-led project grounded in culture, and built on respect for Elders, knowledge holders and artists. It's a powerful example of First Nations First, reconciliation in action, collaboration, and honouring cultural knowledge, artists and story.
