Nathan May has been making music since he was three, and it’s taken him from Darwin to stages around Australia and overseas.

Get to know Alysha Herrmann ✨

“Everything was just about survival. The arts felt like an impossible luxury.”

That was Alysha Herrmann’s perspective two decades ago as she navigated dropping out of school and leaving home at 15, then becoming a 17-year-old mum.

But at 19, finding theatre changed her life, and her prolific career in the arts since has been grounded in helping young people across the Riverland, Mount Gambier and Peterborough find access and community sooner than she did.

Kumarangk is currently on display at the Riddoch until 8 November 2026.

Kumarangk is an honouring of the resistance work of the Ngarrindjeri women protesters, who organised and acted against the building of the bridge from Goolwa to Hindmarsh Island. Over 10 years the women faced an onslaught of attacks from within the media and politics for speaking truth on culture and Country. This exhibition demonstrates the ongoing love, fight and cultural inheritance within Ngarrindjeri women’s circles.

Recently, Dan Withey gave an artist talk at Kapunda Community Art Gallery alongside his current touring exhibition Finite Bounty. Speaking both to the exhibition as a whole and individual artworks, he went in depth to discuss the themes of animism, his stylistic choices, research and experiences that inspired the works within this exhibition.

Finite Bounty is on display at Kapunda Community Art Gallery until 25 October 2026.

Orlando Mee heads to Games Connect Asia Pacific 2026 🎮

Thanks to a Quick Response Grant, SA game developer Orlando Mee, will showcase Yakshini Lokam at Games Connect Asia Pac 2026 in Melbourne. The opportunity will put the SA-developed game in front of international audiences, publishers and industry leaders, helping build visibility, grow professional networks and create future development opportunities ahead of its public demo release.

Last week 8 artists SA regional artists from across the state came together for the extension of our Nebula program: Studio Snapshot. 🎉

Conceptually, Studio Snapshot combines a studio visit and a studio critique. The 8 artists brought a range of artworks to Post Office Projects which were installed ready for a day of feedback and critique from some of South Australia's most respected industry leaders including arts writers, curators, gallery directors and independent artists.

The experience asked artists to position and articulate their key concepts, material interests as well as their process, research and career trajectory in a supportive environment.

The day was a huge success!
