KATE STEWART

Kate Stewart is an actor, director and musical performer originally hailing from Brisbane. After graduating from JMC/AFTT in 2021, Kate has focused her work within the Sydney theatre scene. Her recent work includes co-writing, directing and performing in A Succulent Chinese Musical?! and starring in wren wants a top hat's Playing Diotima. Kate is thrilled to continue working with wren wants a top hat on The River Ghost.

📢 MEET THE TEAM 📢

ANNA RUSHMER

Lead creative at Wren Wants a Top Hat, Anna Rushmer is a multi-disciplinary performing arts practitioner and playwright. She lectures at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts, from where she graduated with a Master of Music (Classical Woodwind) in 2024, with additional studies in contemporary woodwind, voice, acting and dance. Previously she attained a Bachelor of Communication (Social and Political Sciences) from the University of Technology Sydney, during which time she served as President of the Backstage theatre society. She is currently studying a Masters in Teaching (Secondary) at the University of New South Wales.

Recent theatre credits include Firehawk (wren wants a top hat, Sydney Fringe 2025 – writer/director/Constance), Playing Diotima (wren wants a top hat, Flow Studios 2025 – writer/director/Diotima), Hair (ZAP 2024 – ensemble), Undine (wren wants a top hat, Sydney Fringe 2024 – writer/director/Balladeer) and Mrs Jones (Short + Sweet 2024 - Mrs Jones).

We premiere in just two weeks! The River Ghost team is hard at work to bring this new Australian work to life.
