Camerata with Candles combines shimmering candlelight in spectacular Christ Church Cathedral with brilliant works from one of the world’s most musical cities. From
Mozart to Mahler via Beethoven and Strauss, we finish with Haydn’s inspired message to his boss. It was 1772 and Prince Esterhazy’s court was keen to get home after an unreasonably long summer holiday. A modern workforce might head to the industrial court - Haydn simply wrote one of his finest symphonies, finishing the work with a clear message that was heeded by the boss, who packed up the court and returned home within the week!

The Dungeon Big Band is performing again on 14th August at Adamstown Uniting Church - 'Soundtracks' with themes from film, TV - including the great big band charts of Dragnet, Perry mason, Seinfeld, The Incredibles...and we'll have our Heather Price on vocals with the full 17-piece band.
