Under the Influence is an exhibition by Newcastle Printmakers Workshop and The Makers Studio, Central Coast.

Artists are shaped by those who came before them – their marks, methods and ideas lingering in the studio like a quiet conversation across time. In ‘Under the Influence’, twenty-five printmakers from The Makers Studio Central Coast & Newcastle Printmakers Workshop consider the artists who have informed their practice. Some works honour a clear lineage while others respond more subtly through technique, material or spirit. Together, these prints reveal influence not as imitation, but as a dialogue: a passing of knowledge, curiosity and courage. Each artist transforms what has been learned, allowing inspiration to become a catalyst for experimentation, renewal and distinctly personal expression.

Join printmaker Valé Vincent for this three week collagraph course which aims to broaden your knowledge, extend & hone your skills, and to further explore this exciting printmaking medium.

Suitable for those with some knowledge and experience in preparing and printing collagraphs.

This coming weekend join tutor Catherine Tempest and learn the basics of screen printing onto paper using a 2 layered process in this weekend workshop. Participants will take home an A4 paper image ready for framing. The class is suitable for beginners and all class materials will be supplied.
