THIS SUNDAY AT STINGO BLUES - SHARRYN POTTENGER
Sharryn Pottenger is a natural-born blues nsoul singer with a voice that demands attention. ARIA Award-winning guitarist Bob Spencer summed up her remarkable talent perfectly: “She’s never out of tune—she can sing anything.”
Her love of music began with her father, who filled her childhood with the sounds of Nat King Cole, George Gershwin and Fats Waller. After joining Weekend Warriors, Sharryn began singing seriously and was soon fronting bands including Mojo Matters, winning a competition to perform live on ABC Radio and appearing at Federation Square.
Her journey has also included the Women in Blues program and mentoring from the great Andrea Marr, who remains an important influence.
For Sharryn, singing the blues is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream—carrying the music she shared with her dad into every room she plays.

Best known as the frontman of Benny & The Flybyniters, Benny has toured extensively across Australia, the USA and Europe, building a reputation for authentic 1950s-style R&B with plenty of swing, grit and dance-floor energy.
With four albums and a string of releases behind him — along with projects including The Mistreaters and The Three Kings — Benny Peters is right on the money for hip-shakin’, foot-stompin’ rhythm & blues.
