Pointe Petite Dance Academy A starting POINTE for the petite ones, to learn dance skills and grow. Aside from years of experience, I’m highly qualified.

Inspired by my own daughter’s beautiful imagination, I wanted to create a dance studio where I could apply all of my experiences and knowledge to create beautifully engaging classes. As a mother I understand that parents want a quality lesson AND for their child to have fun in a friendly environment. Having had the opportunity to direct three different children’s programs, I’ve learned the importa

nt balance between a child’s freedom to express and a teacher’s guidance. Young children who really love their dance classes are those who are allowed to explore their creativity, at their own comfort level, in a happy and gently structured environment. By continuing on with dance, children gain confidence, strength, coordination, flexibility, musicality and concentration skills. I’ve worked as a teacher, director, examiner, adjudicator and mentor over the last 20 years and have joyfully taught ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap at all age and ability levels. After earning a degree in Science, I received a distinction – the highest mark awarded – on my teacher exams through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in 2005. I was also awarded teacher qualifications through the CDTA (Canadian Dance Teachers’ Association) in both Jazz and Modern. Over the course of my own dance education, I was extremely fortunate to train at many highly regarded ballet schools – The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The School of Alberta Ballet, and the Canadian School of Ballet. I’m so excited to get started in 2017 and look forward to having you join us! I want our environment to remain warm and approachable. Hot off the presses! We once again win for most beautiful tickets ever - Liberty - it sure is! The feeling of being back on stage!!! Looking forward to see our petite pointers smiling in a couple of weeks! Thank you to for the beautiful design and for bringing it to life at record speed! Liberty! Perfection!
