SHUFFLE CAFE – der wöchentliche Tanzabend für Balboa und Laminu in Wien

BALBOA ist ein Paartanz, der sich durch enge Tanzhaltung und trickreiche Fußarbeit auszeichnet. Er kann zu jeder Geschwindigkeit getanzt werden, eignet sich aber besonders gut für schnellen Jazz. LAMINU ging Ende der 1940er aus der Balboa-Szene von Long Beach, Kalifornien, hervor und wird zu langsamer Jazz- und Bluesmusik get

anzt. Dieser etwas in Vergessenheit geratene Tanz gilt heute als Geheimtipp und wartet nur darauf, wieder entdeckt zu werden. Seit 16. Jänner 2013 laden wir wieder jeden Mittwoch Abend zum beschwingten Stelldicheinmit einem einstündigen Balboa- und Laminu-Kurs (kein Partner erforderlich) und anschließendem Social Dancing zu Swing und Slow Jazz. The SHUFFLE CAFE is a weekly Balboa and Laminu dancing event in Vienna, Austria. BALBOA is a shuffling dance, mostly danced in place to basically all tempos in swing music. LAMINU, developed in the late 1940's and 50's by Balboa dancers in Long Beach, Southern California, is a dance for slow Jazz and Blues music. Every Wednesday night, workshops/taster classes in both dances followed by 2 hours of social dancing to swing and slow jazz music make your heart smile. Stay tuned for other tasters/classes available in the future! We welcome new faces and long time friends. Whether your are a Balboa lover or just Bal-curious, you should join this group. Heck, if you just like dancing on Wednesdays, you should be in this group! SHUFFLE CAFE
