Some impressions of our recent performance “Disjunkte Mengen” with Maria Belova (Maria Krauz) and Jennifer Posny at the city centre of Vienna.

The performance deals with the topic of social distance in an interconnected system. The RGB-colour circles form together a unit, but are also single elements in coexistence with each other.
The drop-like shape reminds of the google maps location sign. During the performance our route could be tracked via a link on google maps. The performative intervention in public space raises the question of privacy policy during quarantine, in which groups of people could be tracked via their mobile phones.
The term “disjunkt” is taken from mathematics, describing sets without a common intersection.

Today, exactly 2 years ago, at 8 pm I stretched the last thread throughout to finish my overall space based installation “Die Verzeichnung & Die Verspannung der Zeit“. 💥🕗💫
In the first phase “Die Verzeichnung der Zeit“ I notated all 1440 minutes of a day according to a predefined system directly on the walls of the exhibition space. Each hour is assigned a color.
In the second part “Die Verspannung der Zeit“ I connected the times of the drawing sessions of phase one throughout the space with black threads based on a protocol.

Some impressions of our performance “Ya I Ona” with wonderful at in the frame of the festival in Sept. 2019. ✨🔥

In the 30 min performance Maria and me are drawing maps of our translocations in life. One minute in the performance corresponds to one real year. Although each of us is reconstructing individual routes in space, a choreography of movement develops through the transparent drawing surface.
The work deals with personal perception of time, space and distance and explores the limits of memory.

Some impressions of our show “Liquidity” at Frappant Galerie Hamburg, Aug. 2019, with Ellen Pritzkau and Johann Walther Seidensticker. ✨
The created maps show a graphical dialogue between Ellen (based in Hamburg) and Darja (based in Vienna), questioning the relevance of an assignment to a city in a digitally connected society and merging both positions into one overall space-based work.
The installation is extended performatively with Johann’s speech and sonic interpretation at the opening. 🗺📱🔗
