Ms. Amita Lugger has been residing in Austria for over three decades and is widely admired as a passionate promoter of Indian culture and a devoted advocate of social welfare. Her energy, humility and tireless commitment to community causes have made her a beloved and respected figure among the Indian diaspora in Vienna.
She serves as the President of Ganesha Verein and has previously held the distinguished position of President of the Wiener Integrationsfonds where she worked towards strengthening intercultural understanding and inclusion in Austrian society. Over the years, she has also contributed immensely as a member of the Executive Committee of the Hindu Mandir Association, offering her experience, leadership and vision to various community initiatives.
Through her dedication Ms. Lugger has successfully organized numerous cultural and fundraising events including Diwali Melas and other charitable programs helping to foster unity, preserve heritage and support noble causes for the Indian community in Austria.
Her continued generosity enables us to celebrate the spirit of Diwali through Langar Sewa where free food is served to all — a true symbol of sharing, caring and togetherness. 🌺✨

हिंदू मंदिर एसोसिएशन की संपूर्ण कार्यकारी समिति दीवाली मेला 2025 के लिए हमारी आदरणीय सिल्वर स्पॉन्सर श्रीमती अमिता लुगर, हिंदू मंदिर संघ के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष के उदार सहयोग और हिंदू मंदिर निर्माण परियोजना के प्रति उनके अटूट समर्थन के लिए हृदय से आभार प्रकट करती है। 🙏
श्रीमती अमिता लुगर पिछले तीन दशकों से ऑस्ट्रिया में निवास कर रही हैं और भारतीय संस्कृति की एक भावनात्मक प्रमोटर तथा सामाजिक कल्याण की समर्पित समर्थक के रूप में जानी जाती हैं। उनकी ऊर्जा, विनम्रता और समुदाय सेवा के प्रति अथक समर्पण ने उन्हें वियना में भारतीय प्रवासी समुदाय के बीच एक प्रिय और सम्मानित व्यक्तित्व बना दिया है।
वे गणेशा Verein की अध्यक्ष हैं और इससे पूर्व Wiener Integrationsfonds की अध्यक्ष भी रह चुकी हैं, जहाँ उन्होंने ऑस्ट्रियाई समाज में अंतर-सांस्कृतिक समझ और समावेश को मजबूत करने के लिए उल्लेखनीय कार्य किया। उन्होंने हिंदू मंदिर एसोसिएशन की कार्यकारी समिति की सदस्य के रूप में भी अपनी नेतृत्व क्षमता और दूरदृष्टि से अनेक सामुदायिक कार्यक्रमों में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है।

ਉਹ ਗਣੇਸ਼ਾ Verein ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ Wiener Integrationsfonds ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੀਆਈ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤਿਕ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਠ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਾਬਿਲੇ-ਤਾਰੀਫ਼ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਐਸੋਸੀਏਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਐਗਜ਼ਿਕਿਊਟਿਵ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰਿਤਵ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਈ ਕਮਿਊਨਟੀ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

Frau Lugger lebt seit über drei Jahrzehnten in Österreich und ist weithin bekannt als leidenschaftliche Förderin der indischen Kultur sowie engagierte Verfechterin des sozialen Wohls. Ihre Energie, Bescheidenheit und ihr unermüdlicher Einsatz für die Gemeinschaft haben sie zu einer geachteten und beliebten Persönlichkeit innerhalb der indischen Diaspora in Wien gemacht.
Sie ist Präsidentin des Ganesha Vereins und war zuvor Präsidentin des Wiener Integrationsfonds, wo sie sich intensiv für interkulturelles Verständnis und Integration in der österreichischen Gesellschaft eingesetzt hat. Darüber hinaus hat sie als Mitglied des Vorstandes der Hindu Mandir Association wertvolle Erfahrung, Führungskraft und Vision in zahlreiche Gemeinschaftsprojekte eingebracht.
Mit großem Engagement hat Frau Lugger zahlreiche kulturelle und wohltätige Veranstaltungen organisiert – darunter Diwali Melas und Benefizprogramme – die zur Förderung von Einheit, kulturellem Erbe und sozialem Zusammenhalt in der indischen Gemeinschaft in Österreich beigetragen haben.
