Until September 20, 2026, the exhibition “Mario Raciti. Works 1952–2025” at Palazzo Reale Milano traces the entire artistic trajectory of Mario Raciti, from his early beginnings to the most recent developments of his research, highlighting his deep connection with Milan and with the cultural context that has accompanied his journey.

A significant testament to this relationship is the important group of works acquired by the Municipality of Milan on the occasion of the artist’s solo exhibition at the PAC – Padiglione d’Arte Contemporanea in 1988, part of which is on display in this exhibition.

Curated by Luca Pietro Nicoletti, the exhibition thus represents both an ideal return and, at the same time, the culmination of Raciti’s artistic path in the city where he lived and worked, and of which his painting constitutes one of the most original and profound expressions. His work indeed reflects an intense network of relationships with the Milanese cultural world: not only with galleries and artistic institutions, but also with key figures in literature, poetry, and publishing who shaped the city’s intellectual life in the second half of the twentieth century.

Last days to visit the exhibition "Dalla Scena al Reale. Persistenze e metamorfosi del corpo collettivo" at Mazzoleni, Milan.

Until September 4, 2026, the exhibition project brings into dialogue works from Italian modernism with contemporary practices, identifying in the representation of the body- both individual and collective – a device of continuity and transformation between painting and photography. The display is conceived as a sequence of encounters, in which each pair of works generates a field of visual and conceptual resonance.

What emerges is a trajectory that spans the twentieth century to the present. Painting, photography, and drawing do not stand in opposition, but rather reveal themselves as stages in a single process of redefining the gaze, in which past continues to inform the present, and the present offers new ways of reading the past.

“Over, under and in between” is a site-specific project conceived by artist Mona Hatoum for Fondazione Prada in Milan that reflects on the turmoil of our times and the precariousness of our existence.

The three installations comprising this solo presentation explore archetypal elements of Hatoum’s artistic vocabulary: the web, the map, and the grid. Their presence reactivates the space of the Cisterna building, which housed the silos and tanks of the former alcohol distillery, once located on the Fondazione Prada’s compound. The three independent works embody ideas of instability, danger, and fragility to varying degrees of intensity and sensibility, creating a dialogue with the space and, in particular, the viewer’s physical experience.

Aurelio Amendola returns to exhibit at Palazzo Reale Milano thirty years after his solo show Cappelle Medicee (1995). Until September 6, 2026, the exhibition space in Piazzetta Reale will host “Aurelio Amendola. Photographed Masterpieces. Burri, Vedova, Nitsch, Milan Cathedral, Bernini, Canova, Michelangelo.”

Through 85 large-format photographs, produced between 1976 and 2025, the exhibition celebrates the most emblematic aspects of Aurelio Amendola’s research, a central figure in contemporary art photography who, with his sensitive and intense gaze, stands out for his ability to traverse art history and transform light into narrative. At the heart of the exhibition lies the dialogue that the photographer has established, through his lens, with some of the greatest protagonists in the history of art.

Until October 30, 2026, A Palazzo Gallery is pleased to present Slivers, a solo exhibition by the Norwegian artist Ann Iren Buan.

The exhibition brings together a significant body of work that investigates the processes and dynamics of decay and destruction. Monumental yet delicate and sensual, Buan's works are characterised by their strong sculptural quality and three-dimensionality, achieved through her masterful manipulation of paper. By pushing the material to the verge of collapse, the artist explores the possibilities and tensions of the two-dimensional surface, questioning the very notion of drawing while expanding its expressive potential.

Until September 13, 2026, PAC Padiglione d'Arte Contemporanea presents the latest edition of PERFORMING PAC, an exhibition curated by Silvia Bignami, Iolanda Ratti and Diego Sileo, dedicated to exploring the use of materials, languages and layers of meaning in collage, assemblage and installation. As in previous editions, the exhibition begins with a ‘restaging’ of a historic PAC exhibition, reconstructed using archival materials: Kurt Schwitters. Collages, Paintings and Sculptures 1914–1947, curated in 2001 by Karin Orchard in collaboration with Luigi Sansone.

The title is taken from the final lines of T.S. Eliot’s poem The Waste Land (1922), which shares with Schwitters the desire to “build with the rubble”, gathering the fragments of Western culture and setting them against the collapse and desolation of the modern world. Building on Schwitters’ additive and reworking process, seven artists have been invited to the PAC whose works and installations ideally draw on his legacy and influences: Jacopo Benassi, John Bock, Gabriella Ciancimino, Roberto Cuoghi, Thomas Hirschhorn, Lucia Marcucci and Mika Rottenberg.

Galleria Continua presents "What Holds Us", an exhibition by celebrated British sculptor Antony Gormley that explores our condition as urban animals through the resonance of different materials, from primordial stone and clay to industrial concrete and iron, culminating in the most universal and insubstantial medium: cardboard.

The gallery’s main theatre space is entirely occupied by a site-specific installation, Innercity (2026). Fifteen giant body buildings constructed from cardboard create an urban labyrinth that invites us to move between and through their open and closed spaces, which either deny us access or suggest that we crawl inside them. Atelier dell’Errore [Atelier of Mistakes] is an artist collective dedicated to visual arts and performance, based in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Founded in 2002 by the artist Luca Santiago Mora, who today leads the group as its artistic director, AdE began as a visual arts workshop for neurodivergent children within the pediatric healthcare system in Reggio Emilia and Bergamo. In an artistic practice spanning drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, and performance, AdE is guided by two core rules: animals are the only subject matter, and during the creative phase nothing is ever erased, preserving the transformative potential of every so-called mistake. Today, AdE is composed of 12 neurodivergent artists.

Explore their latest project PPP pinkypussypunk at kaufmann repetto, Milan, on display until September 10, 2026.
