I am thrilled to announce my new monthly DJ residency at Jake's Club, Abuja. It's called "The Sundown with G.rizo" - and it's a 6.5 hour musical excursion into electronic music with an emphasis on soulful and joyous rhythms. Its taking place on rooftop of Jake's Club - at Silverbird Mall, definitely one of the prettiest rooftops in the city.

Expect a versatile mix of music, especially rooted in the Black American musical heritage. I'll be building up from the foundations of House Music - from R&B, Funk, and Disco to House, Dub and more contemporary styles. As long as it's soulful and joyous!!

Happening on the last Thursday of every month, and starting at 4:30pm until 11pm, its the perfect afterwork soiree. And its FREE!

And hanging in there is my motto. This year is 20 years of me cultural organizing. My first ever event was the launch event for my old zine Repellent. "Whatever A Manifestation of Freestyle Expressionism" took place at Artist Space Gallery in Soho, NYC, happening a few weeks after 9/11. It was a special moment. And soon I will also have my first music release anniversary.
