Happy Pride Month! ✨🌈

Dont miss the exhibition “Q***r Art Prize 2026 – the Nominated Artists” from May 27 – June 14, 2026 at .zentrum

On April 9, 2026, the Q***r Art Prize, supported by Almdudler & Radatz, was awarded in the auditorium of the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts. For this call, SPARK Art Vienna collaborated with the nonprofit organization ***rartspacesvienna

This prize highlights the diversity of art and honors artists who are not yet represented by galleries. Florence Derieux, curator of SPARK 2026, was a member of the three-person jury. First place went to performance artist Julia Fuchs. Second place was shared by Michal Rutz and Valentino Skarwan. 🏆

As part of SPARK, this multi-year collaboration will continue, with the award ceremony taking place during the fair.

The exhibition is part of Synergies of Solidarity - the q***r art and community festival Vienna organized by ***rartspacesvienna with 6 exhibitions and more than 40 events taking place from 20.05.26 until 05.09.26!

SPARK Conversations: „Keep an open mind!“
In Conversation with Kathrin Weber and
Axel Anderl 🍂🌈💫

With the founding of ArtWorld Vienna,
Kathrin Weber and Axel Ander/ have built a platform, where artists meet art lovers and demonstrate the courage to institutionalize the private. They have just shown Violetta Ensberg, who shone at SPARK earlier this year and has now been named a „Chanel Artist.“ A conversation between law and order, art, and riot.

✨ Studio Visits: Eva Beresin’s Studio ✨

Eva Beresin, whose work was a highlight at SPARK in 2021 (represented by ), has recently received significant acknowledgment of her work, including the Ruth Baumgarte Award, and a major solo exhibition, Thick Air, in Vienna.

Her distinct voice remains a compelling blend of visceral figuration and vivid, often unsettling domestic scenes. Her practice navigates the complex emotional terrain of memory, identity, and the everyday, rendered with a fearless use of color and texture that immediately grips the viewer. Witnessing the nascent and ongoing narratives in her working environment offered a profound insight into the meticulous, yet instinctively urgent, creation of her singular oeuvre.

Thank you, Charim Gallery and dear Eva Beresin, for having us!

Eva Beresin’s work is currently represented by Charim Gallery.
