We are pleased to present a solo presentation by Jan Rybníček at PARALLEL VIENNA | contemporary art fair 2026.

Jan Rybnicek’s paintings are inhabited by enigmatic, anthropomorphic beings whose bodies resist clear definition. Fragmented, multiplied or partially concealed, they merge with one another and with the surrounding pictorial space. Working intuitively and associatively, Rybnicek creates conglomerates in which bodies enter into shifting relationships and possible narratives remain unresolved.

His work explores interpersonal relationships and inner states through a particular sensitivity to ambiguity. An interest in mysticism and the irrational meets a distinct sense of irony, allowing different meanings and psychological states to coexist within the same image.

Summer Afterwork 🍸🌅 Thursday, 23 July 2026 | from 18:00

During the summer, we’re taking things a bit slower, while already preparing for the autumn behind the scenes.

Until the end of August, we’re showing a curated selection of works from our programme, bringing together pieces by Johanna Wakolbinger, , K A T E R D., Rudolf Fitz and in new constellations.

You can visit us every Friday and Saturday from 13-18:00, or send us a message to arrange an individual appointment. 💌

And of course, summer calls for a get-together! Join us on 23 July from 18:00 for our Summer Afterwork.

We’ll have drinks and snacks, as always, and the artists will be there too. It’s a great opportunity to (re)discover the works on view and enjoy a relaxed summer evening with us.

Final days to see Rudolf Fitz’s solo exhibition „Un pezzo d’Italia“ at Davy Art Space.

The exhibition remains on view until Saturday, 27 June.

🕐 Open Wednesday–Saturday, 13:00–18:00

Join us this Saturday from 13:00–18:00 for the Finissage. Rudolf Fitz will be there, and we’ll have coffee, cake and bubbles to celebrate the closing of the exhibition.

Come by and spend the afternoon with us.

RUDOLFO CAFFÈ ESPRESSO. ARTIST TALK & PASTICCERIA | 14.06.2026

An afternoon of good coffee, Italian pastries and spritz for those who prefer something a little less caffeinated.

Open from 14:00 to 18:00.

At 15:00, Rudolf Fitz will speak in an artist talk about the exhibition „Un pezzo d’Italia“, his work and the impressions gathered during his time in Italy.

During the event, we will also present a limited edition of espresso cups designed by Rudolf Fitz especially for the exhibition.

Un pezzo d’Italia Rudolf Fitz

Featuring new works by .fitz created during his recent stay in Italy.

A limited screen print edition, produced in collaboration with , will also be released as part of the exhibition.

Events accompanying the exhibition:

🍽 La Tavola Italiana Thursday, 28.05., 19:00
Before the official opening, we invite you to a long Italian dinner table set right inside the exhibition. Family-style dishes, wine, conversations and a first preview of the new works by .fitz. Limited seats. Ticket required. Reserve via link in bio.

☕ Artist Talk & Pasticceria Sunday, 14.06., 15:00
An afternoon of coffee, Italian pastries and spritz. At 15:00, Rudolf Fitz will speak about his work and the new exhibition.  Free entry.

🍷 Vino & Arte — Natural Wine Tasting with  Thursday, 18.06., 18:00
Together with , we’ll host a tasting of Italian natural wines selected to accompany the exhibition and its atmosphere. The artist will be present. Free exhibition entry. Wine tasting participation fee: 19 EUR.
