OPEN CALL: [FUTURE] TERRITORIES 2026
lot Das LOT’s transmedia exhibition, co-curated by us  this year.

We’re looking for artists working with interactive, performative and transmedia practices to shape the next edition of the exhibition.

[FUTURE] TERRITORIES explores how futures are already present, embedded in infrastructures, encoded in technologies, rehearsed in speculative systems, and felt through bodies, environments, and emotions. We’re interested in works that challenge passive consumption, activate participation and open up new territories of experience, agency and imagination.

We are looking for works that:
• Treat technology as a cultural and social condition
• Embrace speculation, uncertainty, and experimentation
• Activate the body, senses, and emotions
• Invite audiences to inhabit future scenarios, not just observe them
• Work with responsive systems, immersive environments, digital/physical hybrids, or participatory formats

The artist's fee between 200-400€

SOFT TERRITORIES: DATA, SPACE & FRAGILE GROUNDS

An exhibition on shifting terrains of space, environment, and data, bringing together Ms Litto, Felix Lenz with Lily Zlotover, and Julian Palacz at NODE Media Lab in Vienna.

Exhibition Opening: Tuesday, 16 December 18.00-21.00

Soft Territories looks at how contemporary territories are continuously rewritten through data — and how those data systems remain entangled with fragile physical grounds. The exhibition approaches space not as a fixed container but as a mutable field: scanned, sensed, leaked into, and reassembled through technological mediation. Territories are “soft” not because they are immaterial, but because they are perpetually in flux — shaped by invisible signals, computational translations, and the shifting conditions of the environments they inhabit.

How does space become data — and data become territory? Through AR/LiDAR scans, hidden electromagnetic signals, and algorithmic trace-images, the show maps soft, shifting terrains and the fragile grounds beneath them.
