Prof. Wolfgang Hartl (1937 – 2026)
It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my father, Wolfgang Hartl, the visionary founder of Austroconcert International, who departed this life on 16 January 2026.
My father was a titan in the world of classical music. When he founded this agency in 1970, he did so with a rare intuition for talent and an uncompromising passion for the arts. Over the decades, he had the immense honor of building world-class careers and representing some of the most legendary names in the industry.
To him, the artists he represented were never just clients; they were family. He guided their paths with wisdom, integrity, and a deep personal commitment that went far beyond the professional. He was a mentor, a confidant, and a tireless advocate for the music and the people he loved.
In honor of his extraordinary life’s work and to preserve the unique legacy he created, we have decided that Austroconcert will not continue its operations. We believe this is the most respectful way to honor the standard of excellence and the personal touch that were the hallmarks of his career.
We are deeply grateful to the musicians, colleagues, and partners who shared this journey with him. Your friendship and artistry were the greatest joys of his life.
