Announcing the JURY members for our OPEN CALL ✨Apply via the link in bio!

SO YOUNG PARK ()

So Young Park is a Vienna-based Korean artist whose practice lies at the intersection of performative Installation and live Performance. Her practice explores the ‘in-between-state’ of living and dying, which she frames as ‘another state of living’, ultimately deconstructing the binary of life and death, making space for a tender, transformative in-between. By tracing the history accumulated in her own body, she re-experience the time her body has witnessed and lived through, which becomes the core methodology in her work. This embodied act of remembering allows her to sense the liveness of the present and to confront the fragility of existence. Her performative installations translate these bodily experiences into various performative forms, creating another living story through time and objects. Through this process, she seeks to hold space for ephemerality, mourning, and the resonance of absence.

MICHAEL REINDEL ()

Michael Amadeus Reindel works between the motorway junction Bayrisches Vogtland, film sets, the exhibition ‘The Great Repair’ at the Akademie der Künste Berlin, the Amazon Fulfillment Center NUE1, and a disused quarry. Within this relational network, sculptures are built, dismantled, transformed, reassembled, and embedded in geopolitical realities and autofictional narratives. In the way the works intertwine with global and local conditions, they interact with the infrastructural processes that shape our reality.

👤 Who can apply:
• Artists who moved to Vienna less than 6 years ago from the Global South or the CESEE region.
• All media & disciplines welcome. Citizenship is understood through self-definition.
