We are a music school in Vienna for people who once thought they weren’t musical.

Many people carry that belief from early music lessons or from something they were told along the way. At Creativity Lab, we see it differently: music belongs to everyone. And when people make music together, something beautiful begins to unfold.

In an ensemble, we start to listen to one another and complete one another. Some hold the rhythm, others add melody, and together the music becomes larger than any one person. The focus shifts from individual perfection to the shared experience.

Research shows that making music together supports emotional well-being, reduces stress, and activates parts of the brain connected to learning, connection, and joy.

Our Ukulele Ensemble meets once a month in our Nussdorf studio in Vienna’s 19th district and is guided by our wonderful teacher Uygar, who leads the group with great musicianship, patience, and warmth, making the learning process both accessible and enjoyable.

The ukulele is a small instrument with big joy and a wonderful way to experience music in a relaxed group. Many people come to their first class feeling unsure and leave surprised by how natural and joyful it feels.

All levels are welcome and you don’t need to read notes. The class is trilingual (German, English, Turkish) and open to all ages. We learn a fun repertoire, celebrate mistakes, and focus on the pleasure of making music together. Afterwards we usually continue the afternoon together in the local pub.

The first trial class is free. If you’ve been curious but hesitant, this is a gentle place to begin.

An unsere Creativity Lab Community,

Wir leben in Wien, einer Stadt mit einer starken musikalischen Tradition. Viele von uns hatten klassischen Musikunterricht. Dieses Erbe verdient Respekt. Und dennoch begegnen wir immer wieder Kindern und Erwachsenen, die aus ihren ersten Erfahrungen Sätze mitgenommen haben wie: „Ich bin nicht talentiert.“ „Ich bin nicht kreativ.“ „Das ist nichts für mich.“

Wenn der erste Unterricht zu streng, zu schnell oder zu leistungsorientiert erlebt wird, kann sich ein solcher Glaubenssatz festsetzen. Mit der Zeit beeinflusst er das Verhalten. Menschen hören auf zu versuchen. Sie bleiben der Musik fern, manchmal über Jahre. Das ist schade, denn Musik ist kein Luxus. Sie wirkt wie ein Vitamin für unser emotionales Wohlbefinden. Und sie ist für jeden Menschen zugänglich.

Wir sind eine andere Art von Musikschule. Das bedeutet für uns: Wir unterrichten mit Geduld. Wir schaffen echte pädagogische Sicherheit. Beziehung steht vor Leistung. Wir achten darauf, wo jemand innerlich blockiert ist, und gehen diesen Schritt gemeinsam. Fortschritt darf in einem menschlichen Tempo geschehen. Unser Unterricht findet auf Deutsch, Englisch und Türkisch statt. Wir arbeiten mit Kindern, Erwachsenen, Familien und auch mit Organisationen, die sich über Musik verbinden möchten.

You are warmly invited to a Creative Clarity — 1:1 Session.

A space to meet yourself honestly through expressive arts when something feels unclear, heavy, or out of alignment.

You may have followed the path, checked the boxes, and done what was expected.

On the surface, life continues.
Inside of you, something feels off.

You might notice:

• daily routines feel mechanical, energy is low, and small tasks feel heavier than they should
• conversations feel distant, honesty feels risky, you withdraw instead of reaching out
• what once motivated you no longer does, the next step isn’t clear, your contribution no longer reflects who you are now

At moments like this, the question appears:
What’s the point?

And yet, something in you wants to say:
I’m in.

Creative clarity supports that movement.

“I’m in” can take many forms:

• Personal — tending your space, caring for your body, taking one clear action that restores momentum
• Relational — choosing presence, setting a boundary, reaching out for connection, speaking what is true
• Communal — shaping your projects, your work, and your participation in ways that feel aligned, alive, and creative

Creative clarity begins with being — allowing your presence to emerge before striving to fix or prove.

In this session, we work through expressive arts: simple vocal toning exercises, gentle awareness-based movement practices, and guided embodied reflection. We create space for what has been unexpressed. When your being is acknowledged and expressed consciously, energy reorganizes. From there, aligned action becomes clearer — in your personal life and in how you participate in the collective.

Sessions are offered in person in our lovingly decorated Creativity Lab space in Vienna’s 19th district.

No prior experience is necessary. Bring an intention and a willingness to explore.

Creativity Lab Sound Journey — Raga Yatra Dhrupad Baithak with guest artist Prassanna Vishwanathan (Mumbai)

An evening to listen deeply & differently — to sound, to silence, and to what moves within.

This Sound Journey invites you to reconnect with your natural resonance and remember the spacious field beneath thought and tension. As the evening unfolds, voice, vibration, and presence open gateways to release, renewal, and harmony.

The night culminates in the living river of Dhrupad, shared by our honored guest from Mumbai, Prassanna Vishwanathan — a carrier of one of the world’s oldest vocal traditions, where devotion meets sound and sound meets soul.

No music or voice experience is needed — only openness to receive.

Today is the final day in a 13-day journey to become a steady influence in a world that needs coherence.
And it ends with the softest invitation of all:

Trust that the seed inside you already knows how to grow.

You don’t have to rush or force your unfolding.
Like a seed resting in the soil, your growth is already happening—even when it feels slow, even when you can’t see the bloom.
You are allowed to become who you truly are, one quiet breath at a time.

Today is a day of presence.
A day to rest, reflect, and remember that your becoming is part of something larger.
And that what blooms through you blesses the whole field.

Over the last 12 days, we practiced:
— Reclaiming the power of choice
— Staying with our emotions
— Being still and letting the magic in
— Seeing from above and shaping from vision
— Asking brave questions and speaking our truth
— Grounding into Earth’s rhythm
— Honoring the mirror and listening with heart
— Clearing what gets in the way of our life force
— Aligning belief and action
— Offering care as a form of power
— Releasing what isn’t ours to carry
— Remembering the dream inside our heart

And now:
Trust the seed.
Trust yourself.
Trust that your presence already makes a difference.

Take a breath. Say your name out loud.
Whisper: I trust the seed inside of me.
And let that be enough.
