As we prepare for a new exhibition programme, we find ourselves looking back at the projects that shaped the past season.Over the course of the year, Kramer Gallery presented both gallery-led and guest exhibitions across a range of artistic media, including photography, painting, graphic art, and illustration.Despite the diversity of artists, themes, and visual languages, the programme unfolded as an almost seamless dialogue, with each exhibition naturally extending the one before it while exploring ideas of light, memory, identity, and time.Bringing together such diverse artistic voices has once again reminded us that art does not offer definitive answers. Instead, it creates a space where understanding deepens, new perspectives emerge, and meaningful dialogue begins.Over the coming weeks, we will revisit the exhibitions that shaped this season and share the stories behind them....

As we bring the exhibition season to a close, we would like, above all, to say thank you.

Behind every exhibition at Kramer Gallery, even the most modest one, stands a team.

It is through this quiet, attentive collective work, grounded in trust and a shared sensitivity to the material, that all our projects become possible.

This was especially true of our final exhibition of the season:

Beyond Nuremberg: The Camera as Witness.
Evgeny Khaldei’s Europe, 1945–46

This project was brought to life by a large team of professionals, enthusiasts, and individuals deeply devoted to their practice and to the idea itself.

Their precision, attention to detail, and genuine commitment allowed the exhibition to take shape not simply as a display, but as a coherent and living reflection on memory, history, and testimony.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who became part of this season and contributed to the life of the gallery and to the making of our exhibition projects.

Because of you, these ideas find their form and continue to live.

As we bring the exhibition season to a close, we would like, above all, to say thank you.
Behind every exhibition at Kramer Gallery, even the most modest one, stands a team. It is through this quiet, attentive collective work grounded in trust and a shared sensitivity to the material that all our projects become possible.

This was especially present in our final exhibition of the season, Beyond Nuremberg: The Camera as Witness. Evgeny Khaldei’s Europe, 1945–46. This project was brought to life by a large team of professionals, enthusiasts, and individuals deeply devoted to their practice and to the idea itself. Their precision, attention to detail and inner engagement allowed the exhibition to take shape not as a formal display but as a coherent and living reflection on memory, history and testimony.

As the exhibition enters its final week, artist Baurjan Aralov and curator Veronika Nikiforova will return to the project through an open conversation in the exhibition space.

The discussion will unfold around painting, memory, image construction, and the shifting nature of the exhibition itself.

The conversation will be held in English and will open into dialogue with the audience.

On Wednesday, Kramer Gallery hosted the opening of «NOT QUITE DREAMS,» a solo exhibition by Baurjan Aralov .

The exposition brings together a series of paintings that investigate the phenomenon of memory and visual transformation.
Aralov’s current body of work represents a sophisticated engagement with cultural codes and personal history, where the painterly matter serves as a medium between the conscious and the unconscious.

and fashion.

Conceived in the spirit of a French atelier, the evening unfolds as a close encounter with the process of making — from materials and silk to construction, with garments presented on a model. The format is centered on dialogue and personalization — offering the possibility to engage directly with the designer and create a version of each piece that is uniquely your own.

Founded in 2001, lena tsokalenko is an established niche fashion brand with a strong international presence, recognized for its refined tailoring and its distinctive, silk-centered language.

В центре вечера — демонстрация моделей, процесс создания, персонализация и эстетика ручной работы (savoir-faire).

В ПРИСУТСТВИИ ДИЗАЙНЕРА

Основательница и дизайнер бренда Елена Цокаленко представит последнюю коллекцию в камерном формате, предполагающем прямой диалог с гостями. Платья будут показаны на модели, а показ будет сопровождаться комментариями дизайнера о материалах, работе с шелком и тонкостях кроя.

Это редкая возможность оказаться внутри процесса — не только увидеть коллекцию, но и поработать с дизайнером напрямую: выбрать цвет, ткань и создать собственную версию изделия.

Основанный в 2001 году, lena tsokalenko — нишевый бренд с международным присутствием, где в традиции портновского ремесла создаются авторские коллекции, а шелк становится основным выразительным языком — текучим, почти неуловимым, как аромат.

Моноспектакль «Великий Бунин» обращается к прозе Ивана Бунина через два рассказа — «Таня» и «Солнечный удар» (премьера). В центре — любовь как переживание предельной интенсивности: в «Тане» она раскрывается как трагическое и неумолимое чувство, вмещающее в себя целую жизнь за короткий срок, тогда как «Солнечный удар» звучит как тонкая ирония и драматический фарс о столкновении человека с чувством, к которому он может оказаться не готов.

Постановка строится как камерное, почти интимное высказывание, где текст, голос и визуальный образ соединяются в единое пространство переживания, позволяя приблизиться к внутреннему миру бунинской прозы и её особой чувственной точности.

Спектакль создан при участии режиссёра Т. И. Кочержинской, композитора Евгения Борца, художника по костюмам Светланы Тегин и видео-художника Елены Медины.

Моноспектакль исполняет Мария Кобзарь.

Easter Bouquet 🌸

This photographic series by Alexandra Catiere , whose work is represented by the gallery, is a study in stillness and transformation.

Working with silver gelatin prints and hand-toning using organic dyes, Catiere approaches still life as a site of quiet transformation. The floral arrangements — composed, altered, and reworked — resist fixed states, unfolding instead through processes of decay, preservation, and re-inscription. Each image becomes less a depiction than a temporal object, shaped by both gesture and duration.

The series is featured in the publication Flower Power (Éditions Textuel ), where the works enter into a broader reflection on the flower as both subject and material — shifting between symbolism, physical presence, and image. The book brings together historical and contemporary perspectives, extending the context in which the series can be read.
