What a magnificent way to close La Locura Tango Music Festival on Sunday night, as LUX Tango Music created an unforgettable finale - filling the dance floor with elegance, passion, and the rich orchestral sound.
Born from musical connections forged in Paris in 2025, this remarkable ensemble united outstanding musicians from across Europe to create a performance full of intensity, sensitivity, and energy. Their repertoire carried us through the timeless worlds of Pugliese, Di Sarli, Troilo, and D’Arienzo, while also exploring the playful spirit of Hugo Díaz, the virtuosity of Horacio Salgán, and the profound emotion of Astor Piazzolla. Together with the beautiful voice of Lenore Huang, they created a truly memorable closing night for the festival.

A huge thank you to Anna van Nieukerken (piano), Camille Babut du Marès & Emma Breedveld (violin), Damian Foretic & Christian Ge**er (bandoneon), Anna Maria Huhn (double bass), and Lenore Huang (voice) for sharing their artistry with us.

Finally, big thank you to all participants, dancers, musicians, DJs, volunteers, organizers, collaborators , supporters and friends who made this edition of La Locura Tango Musik Festival so special. A special thank you goes to:
Aurora Fornuto , one of the most respected figures on the international tango circuit, for her outstanding DJ sets during the non-live music moments on Sunday at La Lacura.
Agustin Luna with Damián Foretic, our resident welcome duo, who greeted our audience with live music in the foyer of Haus der Musik Innsbruck , were joined by the wonderful guest singer Noelia Moncada in the afternoon. Their performances created a warm and authentic tango embrace during the “aperitivo” time.

We also want to share with you that, for La Locura - Tango Musik Festival, tango is much more than music and dance. We are deeply committed to supporting tango in its broadest sense - fostering artistic exchange, preserving its heritage, promoting its outreach, and giving a voice to its key players.

This year, Mario and Ruth Soto Delgado, on behalf of the Festival, had the privilege of interviewing the Romo–Agri–Messiez Trio for Tangodanza Magazine, featuring three prominent artists: Horacio Romo (bandoneon), Pablo Agri(violin), and Emiliano Messiez (piano).

These encounters between music, research, artists, dancers, and audiences are at the heart of what La Locura strives to celebrate.

The Sunday afternoon final performance in the festival’s main venue belonged to the young and vibrant Ensemble Sin Vuelta from Lyon. Led by brothers Emile Guion on piano and Maxime Guion on bandoneon, alongside violinist Marie Delaunay-Quenechdu and double bassist Antoine Fontanel, the quartet brought an infectious freshness and dynamic spirit to the stage.
With remarkable vitality, tight musicianship, and a driving rhythmic force, Sin Vuelta transformed classical tango repertoire into an exhilarating experience that immediately connected with dancers and listeners!

Their youthful energy radiated throughout the hall! It was a fitting for afternoon finale to leaving the hall buzzing long after the last notes had faded.

At La Locura Tango Musik Festival, we place special attention on the emerging tango scene and on the new generation of musicians who are shaping its future. In particular, the French tango community continues to stand out for its extraordinary vitality, creativity, and ability to nurture new talents. Supporting and showcasing these fresh artistic voices is an essential part of our vision, and Sin Vuelta offered a brilliant example of the energy and excellence that this new wave of musicians brings to contemporary tango.

The second closing concert in the Small Venue of Haus der Musik brought the audience face to face with three true monuments of Argentine Tango: Horacio Romo, Pablo Agri and Emiliano Messiez.

These are musicians whose artistic journeys are deeply intertwined with the history of Tango itself. Between them, they have shared stages, recordings, and projects with many of the greatest names of recent decades, helping to shape and carry forward a musical tradition that continues to inspire generations around the world.

The trio combined virtuosity, elegance, and profound musical understanding, moving effortlessly between beloved tango classics and original compositions from their recent album Con Todo. Each phrase, each silence, and each dialogue among the bandoneon, violin, and piano reflected the depth of a musical bond shaped through decades of collaboration.

The intimacy of the Small Venue created the perfect setting to appreciate every nuance of their performance. The audience listened in complete attention, fully aware of witnessing something rare: three masters of their art sharing music with generosity, passion, and absolute authenticity.

As the final notes faded away, the response was immediate and overwhelming. The entire hall rose to its feet in a long and heartfelt standing ovation — a tribute not only to an exceptional concert, but to three artists whose contribution to Argentine Tango has become part of its living history.

A fitting conclusion to an unforgettable series of concerts in the Small Venue of Haus der Musik at La Locura Tango Music Festival.

With Divagando Tango, the audience was invited into a world where tango was not simply performed, but constantly rediscovered.
From the very first notes, the ensemble brought a fresh and sensual energy to the stage. True to their name, Divagando guided listeners through musical landscapes where tango stayed at the heart of the journey, while opening space for new colors and influences.

At the center of this experience was the magnetic presence of Erna Dolcet. Drawing on her path from tango dancer and teacher to singer, she brought authenticity, elegance, and sensuality to the stage. Her voice moved with the natural flow of dance, creating a emotional connection with the audience.
Alongside her, bandoneonist Marisa Mercade once again revealed the expressive richness long admired at La Locura. Together with Jérémy Porchet and Jules Meneboo, whose flamenco guitar backgrounds added vibrant textures, the quartet created a sound both rooted in tango tradition and refreshingly contemporary.

A concert filled with elegance, passion, and freedom — guiding the audience through shifting emotional landscapes, always in the spirit of tango.
A reminder that tango is not a destination, but a journey!

Saturday night reached its absolute peak with the main event of the festival — a powerful, large-scale orchestral experience that embodied the full energy, depth, and intensity of tango at its highest level✨

At the center of it all was the Emiliano Messiez Orquesta Típica, a world premiere formation created especially for this festival, bringing together an extraordinary ensemble of international soloists and close collaborators. From the very first note, the orchestra captivated the audience with its driving power, richness of sound, and remarkable cohesion, while still leaving space for moments of inspired solo improvisation that elevated the music even further.

The line-up itself was exceptional: Emiliano Messiez, Horacio Romo, and Pablo Agri — also featured in the festival as the intimate Romo-Agri-Messiez Tango Trio — joined by an outstanding cast of musicians including Fabrizio Colombo, Damián Foretic, Christian Ge**er (bandoneons), Karl Espegard, Ulrike Dinter and Camille Babut Du Mares (violins), and Cristian Basto (double bass). The presence of special guest vocalist Noelia Moncada added a deeply expressive and unforgettable dimension to the night.

This was more than a concert — it was the festival’s defining moment. A rare convergence of power, , and , where every musician contributed to something greater than themselves, creating an experience that will remain as one of the highlights of the entire event.

Saturday night at La Locura - Tango Musik Festival offered one of its most intense and memorable moments with the extraordinary Noelia Moncada accompanied by the Damián Foretic Trio ✨

A true histrionic entertainer, Noelia captivated both audience and dancers with an overwhelming stage presence, a rare storytelling talent and a voice of remarkable expressive power. Moving naturally between drama, irony, tenderness and passion, she transformed every song into a living theatrical scene, keeping the room emotionally engaged and the dance floor constantly alive.

Recognized today as one of the most important voices of contemporary Argentine tango, Noelia Moncada built her artistic path from the streets of Buenos Aires to some of the world’s most prestigious stages. After her debut with the Orquesta Escuela de Tango Emilio Balcarce at the Teatro Colón during the Buenos Aires Tango Festival, she went on to perform internationally with Orquesta El Arranque in Japan and across Europe, including concerts at the Théâtre National de Chaillot and the Auditorium Parco della Musica. Her interpretations of María de Buenos Aires by Astor Piazzolla and Horacio Ferrer further established her as an essential ambassador of tango culture worldwide.

Together with the refined and contemporary sound of the Damián Foretic Trio — Damián Foretic, Diego Aubia and Lucas Frontini — she created a concert of rare intensity, where tradition, theatricality and rhythmic vitality merged into a deeply authent experience.
