Kelly, Katie & Kimber - two sisters and best friend 👯‍♀️ came on the Original Sound of Music tour today 🚌🎤. Katie told us that when she was a child she 📺 watched 🎶Sound of Music 🎶movie every day before going to kindergarten. Surrounded by stunning scenery, music, memories, and friendship, it felt like stepping right into the movie. A perfect day in Salzburg that they will never forget. 🎶🏞️✨

The Mirabell Gardens in Salzburg was one of the most famous filming locations for The Sound of Music …. and yes 🙌🏻 is one of our stops on a tour 🚌 🎤.

In particular, the gardens were used for parts of the iconic 🎶Do-Re-Mi 🎶sequence, where Maria and the von Trapp children sing and dance through the gardens. The scenes around the Pegasus Fountain, the garden pathways, and the famous steps (often called the “Do-Re-Mi steps”) were 🎥 filmed there.

Today was an opening of a new museum dedicated to Von Trapp family which is located on the Zwölferhorn mountain ⛰️ at Wolfgangsee region. We were honored to see Kristina Von Trapp (Maria’s granddaughter) and her family to be part of the opening ceremony ✂️🎀.

Mini museum is located at the area which you can spot at opening aerial shots 🚁🎥 of the film just before 🎶Hills are alive 🎶 starts.

✨Between film and reality lies the fascinating story of the Von Trapp family✨

Today, the hills are alive with extra celebration as we wish a very Happy 76th Birthday to the wonderful Nicholas Hammond! 🥳✨
To the world, he is forever the eldest von Trapp son, Friedrich. To us, he is a cherished friend and a reminder of why we love sharing this story every single day. ❤
Did you know? Nicholas isn't just a star on the screen, he’s also been a passenger on our bus! It was a true "full circle" moment to welcome him as a guest on our Original Sound of Music Tour, visiting the very locations where he made movie history as a teenager. 🎥
