We are delighted to announce our summer exhibition: the first solo show of Philipp Fürhofer both in Austria and at the gallery.

July 17 – August 29, 2026
Join us for a reception for the artist and a conversation with Andreas Beitin, Director of Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, on August 1 at 11:30am.

Fürhofer’s work occupies a space between painting, sculpture, and theatrical staging. His luminous installations transform the conditions of viewing itself, turning light, glass, and surface into a sustained meditation on presence and perception.

Philipp Fürhofer lives and works in Berlin. He ranks among the most sought-after set designers of his generation and has worked for the Royal Opera House, London, the Dutch National Opera, Amsterdam, and the Salzburg Easter Festival, among others. In the spring of 2027, he will design the set for Igor Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress at La Scala in Milan. His visual art is in the collections of numerous museums and galleries worldwide. He has had solo exhibitions at the Städel Museum, Frankfurt (2023), the Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt (2017/18), and other institutions; his works have also been featured in group and solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, Milan, Munich, Paris, Sydney, Wolfsburg, and elsewhere.

KENTON NELSON. Ten Watercolors for Salzburg

8 May - 19 June 2026
Opening: 7 May, 6pm

As the exhibition’s title indicates, KENTON NELSON presents ten new watercolors that extend the universe of his stylized imagery and enrich it with new motifs. The pictures render idyllic impressions from his Californian surroundings and captivate the viewer with the delicate, luminous quality that is distinctive to watercolor painting.

PHILIPPE DECRAUZAT – Intercisio. Currently on view (Musée régional d’art contemporain Occitanie, Sérignan)

Philippe Decrauzat develops a practice that interrogates the mechanisms of vision through painting, film, and installation. His work explores optical phenomena, bodily processes, and the visual structures that shape how we perceive. Brought together at the MRAC, the paintings and projections don’t simply invite looking but turn vision itself into a field of operations. Checkerboards, grids, gradients, labyrinths: Decrauzat’s recurring motifs generate shifts in scale and light that constantly destabilise the gaze, making visible what we usually take for granted.

PETER HALLEY. Six Paintings for Salzburg

March 28 - April 29, 2026 Opening Reception: March 28,11.30 pm

We are thrilled to present Peter Halley’s first solo exhibition in Austria in nearly two decades. The exhibition features a selection of his most recent paintings, created especially for this show and presented publicly for the first time.
Halley’s iconic „Prisons” and „Cells” explore the geometrization of social space through vibrant Day-Glo colors and industrial materials — a critical commentary on confinement, connectivity, and the digital networks that shape contemporary life.
